Very Big Tip, Don’t go to Uncharted last as if you turn up to the ride 15 mins to ride close you are likely to have the sliding doors slammed in you face, I got very annoyed at this despite the Queue boards around the park, queue board at the ride entrance and the PortAventura app stating that the ride is open with a wait time

Funny enough, me and my dad stayed in that hotel that you mentioned last time we were there, and we’re staying there again this year, I think it might actually have been yourself that recommended it to us, if i’m remembering it correctly🙂

Love this, will keep an eye out for more park tips. I was there last week, cannot stress uncharted early as you suggested, it was always the longest queue time. Baco is getting a single rider line, they’ve just put signs up for it which will massively help.

Good tips. Stampeda was opening 11.30 when we were there a few weeks back. Stayed in gold river so got the 930 ert for shammy / DK. Then get a cheeky el diablo in on the way down to getting in the prequeue for stampeda. We did 4 days this time and even that didn't feel over long. Just taking your time, having a beer etc.

Spotted Crash in the background. Won a lot of those back in the day at Alton towers on the cork shooting game and sold them on eBay. I remember the scrum last year. We Were at the front and legged it to bacos and was second pair in the queue. God knows how I manage to run quicker than the kids. Agree with shambala, no phone in pocket. I had a bag taken at Chessington so always like to keep phone on hand so wear a jacket and it fits in like a front middle pocket.

I’m always uncomfortable about storage holds on any ride, if there’s lockers available I’ll use them

Bob on about the thighs. I am not skinny but in reasonable shape but even I get a second check. Moving my phone to a zip up pocket in my jacket made all the difference. Found exactly the same as you pocket wise.

Great video mate. We have been 3 times.. im going back in June with my 19 and 12 year old. We were thinking of trying the speedy pass. Do u think its worth the money? We done Blackpool September weekend 2023 with my 12 year old and we did love jumping the ques and getting multiple rides. So I think my 12 year old might be expecting speedy pass. The one concern I always have with visiting parks abroad is language issues, can you normally get by with English in these sort of parks or would you recommend trying to learn the basics first?

Plenty of staff spoke English in the park and hotels from my experience there a couple of years ago

I've always put off going to PortAventura because I'm not sure how to get from the Airport to the Hotel and then from the Hotel to the actual park. Is it best to get a taxi or get a bus and are those options easy to use. Do the drivers speak English to help you get around. I would be going next year by myself because my pals don't like theme parks or rollercoasters. Thanks Scott.

If you are a nervous traveller, look at Jet2. You can get a full deal to get you onsite (check as not all hotels have direct park access) or it's an easy taxi or walk from Salou its self. All obviously dependent on what your budget is etc.

Which Airport are you considering? From Barcelona Airport, the taxi would be very expensive. I've used a Bus service called "Busplana" which can take you from either terminal at BCN to Salou (Scott has used this service before, too). You can book tickets through their website.

Reus, pre book a taxi to/from your hotel for airport shuttles. PortAventura has regular buses to it from Salou, there’s taxis and it’s in walking distance from Salou.
