I'm a 15 yr old girl going into my first Enduro race this weekend. Watching these videos makes me excited knowing I'm never going to be alone in the world, as people have to start somewhere, at any age. I come from a family of cross country racing, and my sister raced at a national level, but I was always better at the downhill/tech, so I told my dad I would commit to Enduro racing, he said I had to prove to him I would devote myself to it, so I practiced downhill and Enduro courses everyday near my house and included practicing jumps, trakcstand, etc, and he got me a bike and armour for my birthday. I am so excited for my race, and Goodluck to your son! My father used to be faster than me, but now he can't keep up! Soon, it will be the same, as another comment said 😎

That is so cool to hear, you are gonna have so much fun!!! Enduro is a really good environment, I'm sure every race is different but all the enduro's I've done were very welcoming and people rode together throughout the day. It's great talking to other riders on the climbs and before/after stages too. Milo also races XC but he REALLY loves the DH and Enduro stuff, he's begging to do a DH race next year! That's awesome you're going faster than your dad too, I wonder if Milo will beat me by the time he's 15?? Good luck this weekend!!

I would highly recommend milo switching to contact lenses when racing due to the fact that your peripheral vision is blurry and your glasses can bump in different positions on your nose screwing with your depth perception. That's great to hear, we actually just got some trial contact lenses to try out, and then he ended up racing the NICA XC races with non-prescription riding glasses because they stay in place better and offer better protection.

As a glasses wearer, this is very true. I often wear glasses indoors but ALWAYS switch contacts for riding. It's safer, faster and you have more versatile eye protection options. Scary to think how fast Milo would be with a preride and some good optics.

I've been riding this bike for 7 years now! kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L It was a great bike the day I got it, put it together, and went on my first ride; more importantly it's an even better bike today. I've ridden trails, street, and skatepark all on this bike. I have replaced almost every part on the bike. Some stuff has broken: derailleurs, wheels, shifter. Everything else were upgrades. The only ramaing original parts are the frame, bottom bracket, and crank set. BB and cranks will be upgraded soon. The geometry isn't great but that is really the only draw back to how good a value this bike is. Even after all the money I've spent upgrading it's still a more affordable bike than I'd have bought from a proper bike shop, especially with full suspension. I've also learned a lot about bikes working on it over the years. It really is one of the best perchases I've ever made and hopefully it'll still be around for another 7 years.

We do! Bring treats and help encourage the dog to run behind you but not too close, you don't want them in front because you don't wanna hit them if they see a squirrel and stop! Also not too close to the back since tires and rotors can be dangerous. I like to start small as well, big rides can hurt their paws.

Trails look super fun and Milo read them well, congrats on the win. Despite this not being the usual way it goes, running it basically blind, I think that it's a format that needs to be encouraged, really does help those with pure skill shine.
