Hi Kai. Thank you for such video. This app is really amazing as I use different brokers and keeps me up to date for the whole portfolio. However, have you found out a way how to set up interest for saving account? I keep around 10% of my portfolio in cash, but on a saving account .I have been trying to solve this out, but it looks I am too short for this. Thanks in advance for your effort.

Hi there and thanks a lot, glad to hear you enjoyed it. I remember there was a function to add a cash position, but since I am not using the app anymore not 100% sure where it is. Now using getquin, made a video about it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpmUgpKgjal_q5I there you can also track all your investments and cash, etc and they have a nice app, I just found it more intuitive and easier to use, check it out. Kai, thanks for the video, really helped me to get started with the tracker. Two questions: Is it possible to easily "fantasy scenario" calculate the portfolio value for a given asset price? And, does the normal calculation of a portfolio/asset take place "live" once the market is open or do you have to manually update quotes always and the calculations are based on the last ending price of a trade day?

Hi Maks, many thanks and glad you found it useful. If by fantasy scenario you mean maybe a second portfolio you want to track, almost like paper-trading? Then you can just open a new file under which this portfolio would be saved. So one would be your real portfolio, the other one your fantasy one:) As for the quotes, they are being pulled from whichever source you've assigned the asset to pull their prices from. I always chose Yahoo Finance, so once you open the app it automatically sync and updates your portfolio with the latest prices from Yahoo Finance so no manual work needed. Hope this helps. Cheers.

@@SmartMoneywithKai Thanks for answering. No I meant more of a recalculation of the whole portfolio value for a "fantasy scenario" price of assets, let's say I would like to know the value of my portfolio in the future IF the price of asset A and asset B goes up to a certain value or percentage.

Hi Kai how come I get slightly higher stock prices in Portfolio Performance's historical quotes from Yahoo Finance or Portfolio Report source vs. the historical stock price data in my Trade Republic app. Because of this the data isn't accurate and it seems I'm having more capital gains in PP dashboard vs. what is reported in my Trade Republic app. I was watching your Yahoo Finance tutorial and I really liked but have faced the same problem that my total change is way high. Thank you :D

Hi Erick, many thanks and interesting point. I think it should be just a slight deviation. This might be due to the fact that Yahoo uses one set of data from the respective stock market the stock is traded on. Stock and ETF orders of Trade Republic customers are routed through Lang & Schwarz Exchange which might be slightly different, also FX might be factored so normally it should not be major deviations, so just stick with one so you can compare apples to apples😉

Hi Deepak, great to hear that, many thanks. You can record DRIP, but frankly I found it a bit cumbersome and time-consuming, especially the larger your portfolio gets and I prefer to do as little as possible manual work. Personally I use dividend.watch/?via=kai which auto syncs with my Interactive Brokers account and tracks against S&P500 and easily shows my Dividend income and projections, really recommend this tool👍 Cheers

In your opinion what is the best way to register interest earned in crypto currencies (payed in crypto)? Do I need to create one security account for each crypto (NEXO_AXS, NEXO_ETH,..)?

Hi Kai, great tutorial! Hope you van help me with a problem I have. Although I've added multiple Deposit Accounts, I can see only one. After creating the account ('No Name") it disappears. The only place I can find these No Name accounts is in the Taxonomies, where they sit but can't be deleted and can't be changed.

Hi Iain, thanks a lot and glad you liked it. That's strange to hear. Just tried myself to go to Deposit Accounts, right clicked and it added a new account. Then you can just double click no name and give it a name and then double click currency to change the currency. Try manually saving it afterwards. Hope this helps. Cheers

Thanks for this video and for introducing this tool. We do not see many videos of this tracker in North America. In addition, is hard to find videos in English (thanks for that as well). I have a silly question, if I make a deposit in the deposit account in US dollars and purchase a stock in Euro or other currency, does the balance update accordingly with conversions?

Hi Wellington, many thanks and glad you like it. Great question. Never done that before but just check and yes, it works. If you deposit USD and purchase EUR stock just select your USD funding account when adding your stock buy. You can choose from different currencies so if you choose USD, it will auto convert it and deduct the respective USD amount from your USD holdings. Hope this helps. Cheers

Great software, but has several disadvantages: 1. You can't see financial statements of the instruments. It's the main problem. 2. You can't make automatic dividends (cupon pay off) on bonds. 3. Your portfolio efficiency calculated only by payments. For example you bought bond with every year cupon in February and first calendar year you gained 8/12 cupons profit, but you will not see this profit in first year in this software. 4. You can't add to your stocks account some rules, like fee payment in % for every transaction. I think it could be added easily.

Hi, thanks for your points. I am not actually using this platform anymore. I still think it's great especially given it's free, but I prefer easier web based apps like getquin though they might also not be able to do the things you've described. Cheers

As a side note: how do you check ETC overlap? I tried few tools (etfrc, for example), but I cannot find any of my etf 😅. Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot. Sadly at the moment you can't. They do have some kind of automatic PDF input, but from my experience it does not work to well. I know, it's not the most comfortable option, but given that I only have a couple of Dividend stocks which only pay quarterly it is manageable and actually forces you to really look at it. Other than that, really a great tool.

Hi Miguel, many thanks and yes, it's a great tool indeed and it is actually fully free, they don't offer any paid features. As for your anti-virus program, hard to judge from a distance, all I can say when I download non-apple store apps it always says the same, even for Spotify let's say. It's a completely open-source program, you can even see the code, so there are no hidden motives. You can read reviews and see other people's videos on the tool. But of course, ultimately it's your choice to use it or not. I am just sharing my experience and I absolutely love this free and amazing piece of software. Have a great day. Cheers.

Hi there, you can track a lot of things, like your bank account, gold, real estate, etc. of course, those would require manual updating as it cannot get data of the value of your house, but same as I showed in the video you can add a Rolex you can add your house and update whenever the market value changes.
