Excellent video. I plan to build a similar tracker using this video as a guide. One question though. How do you consolidate/track multiple purchases (or dividend payments) of the same security on different dates? I would want to consolidate them, calculate an average price paid, and sum the purchase prices paid.

Typically the best way to do this is by using the =unique() function. I am actually planning on releasing a new portfolio tracker that will have all of the capabilities that you just mentioned, so be on the lookout for that video!

Love this informative video! I managed to understand how to scrape Google Finance based of videos like yours. How do I webscrape the EV/EBITDA off Yahoo Finance & the P/B off Finviz?

I have a new web scraping video coming out soon. Be on the lookout!

I love this tool, however, the Finvis does not provide Canadian stocks in Canadian values. I will need to modify that aspect of your tracker. Any suggestions?

Does this allow tracking of the buying and selling of shares? Nothing i have seen so far actually takes care of that, which is needed for tax purposes

This is my first time ever leaving a message, all worked great except for the Industry column, it displays the correct Industry for 2 of my 8 holdings but the other 6 display as "N/A" or it shows the wrong Industry type, I tried the same formula on other spreadsheets and it does the same thing. Any ideas? Thanks, Dennis

Hey Dennis, thanks for the comment. Would you mind telling me which holdings aren't correct so i can help?

I can not make the industry formula work. It says "resource at url not found" when I change this "eresea..." to eresearch" it says same thing. So for now, I just got the Industries manually and typed them in.

I have an updated version of the industry formula. I use it in my newer portfolio trackers. I'll likely update this one soon.

when i added my additional chart it doesnt get in order by % of allocation, is there a way that we can make them to show in order from maximum to minimum? thank you.
@Dividendology2 жыл бұрын
There is! You can add a filter to your data. This will allow you to sort from big to small or small to big, or sort other ways if you desire. Your charts will also update automatically based off of your filter!

For some reason no matter how many times I have tried this formula. The dividend data doesn't copy from anywhere. I keep getting an " #REF! " when I put it in. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

I have an updated way to pull this. Check out the dividend stock watchlist video I made around a month ago to see how to pull in dividend data.

Dividend: It seems finviz has changed the way to pull dividends from their website. I have corrected the spreadsheet and it now works. Here is the updated formula: =substitute(SUBSTITUTE(index(importhtml("finviz.com/quote.ashx?t="&A23,"table",9),7,2),"*",""),"-","0.00") Industry: =if(isblank(A23),"",index(importxml("eresearch.fidelity.com/eresearch/goto/evaluate/snapshot.jhtml?symbols="&A23&"","//div[@class='sub-heading']//span[@class='right']"),1))
