Porthgain Harbour | Visit Pembrokeshire | The nonsense Adventures

Porthgain is a small coastal hamlet on the north coast of St Davids Peninsula.
Once a small commercial harbour used for exporting stone from the nearby quarry, Porthgain is now a very popular tourist centre thanks to a great pub, a super cafe restaurant and excellent art galleries. Add to this the superb location in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Porthgain has a winning combination.
The harbour was used as a location for the filming of the comedy ‘Their Finest’ starring Gemma Arterton, Bill Nighy and Sam Claflin and due for release in April 2017. Discover more of Pembrokeshire’s film locations.
Porthgain is the perfect location to visit if you’re enjoying a short break in St Davids being only 7 miles outside the city.

We really enjoyed our visit to Porthgain, It certainly is one of the places to visit in Pembrokeshire. The big dog was amazingly friendly and the Scones are so fresh!

Thanks for this vid. My ancestors lived in porth gain mid 19th century. My great grandfather was a quarryman, employing four men. They all lived in a cottage on a hill top. Looking forward to visiting in the near future.

So great to see somewhere that I was wandering around just a wee while ago. I had breakfast in the Sloop Inn and then walked in the rain to Abereiddy to see the Blue Lagoon. The gallery was a fab little place although out of my price range :) Funny you should mention the parking was free - that's how I came to be there..., Abereiddy was £4 and I hadn't had any breakfast so drove on to Porthgain - how glad I did. You did a great job of selling the place... I shall be going back for sure. Great stuff both.

Yup paid to park at Blue lagoon before but we needed to be close to get changed out wetsuits but if just going for a nice day of wandering, park at Porthgain and get brekkie somewhere! Mmm scones.

I went there in 2006 when I was on secondment in Fishguard. It really is lovely I just wish I'd had more time. Looks like there's more to do now than then also

This is great work , I have made a couple of storm vids of the harbour . One of our favourite places but the drone adds a new dimension , my wife uses electric wheelchair so we are a bit limited in where we can get to 😍😍

Hey! We loved Porthgain, I think we ended up visiting 2 or 3 times that week, Had great scones haha. I can imagine the wheel chair is limiting, get some beefy suspension and some off road tyres? I can't wait to go back and visit again!
