By California law they are legally married:... introduced in February 2014 by Senator Mark Leno and signed by Governor Jerry Brown in July 2014, updated the Family Code to reflect same-sex marriage in California. It removed unenforceable and discriminatory language against same-sex couples, such as Proposition 22 (2000) and (1977), and also modernized the entire code by replacing references to "husband" and "wife" with "spouse(s)".

One thing Ellen taught me when I was growing up never judge anyone on there appearance, what they wear, or what gender they attracted to should be kind to one another and support everyone. I still remember the episode Ellen gave Jennie a job on the show I hope she finds something now she had a good personality too
