I live in the Chicago area and Italian beefs are my favorite food, so I am a Portillo’s and Bouna beef expert! Next time you visit the amazing Portillo’s establishment, I highly suggest getting the beef and cheddar croissant 🥐 it is amazing! It is only made better by adding a cheese fry side dish. You will thank me! And hearing you try to pronounce everything made my day! I didn’t realize how these foods are unique only to the Chicago area until now! We have them in almost every town, and I never realized how lucky we are! I will appreciate it more now!

All these eating establishments like Portillo’s you find and go to are great and places we don’t have where we live but wish we did. Couldn’t stop saying”love it “ . Love the nostalgia and the modern all in one place. Love The Dog House. It’s so great. Putting ketchup on hot dogs is frowned upon. From the looks of things, they should be very successful there. The hot dogs and onion rings looked really good. I like crunchy onion rings. Looks like it’s worth the wait for. You lead a very blessed life. God bless you.

The big beef with sweet peppers is one of the most delicious beef sandwiches I’ve ever had… even above the iconic place in downtown LA. The spicy peppers are good also but the spicy distracts from that juicy succulent beef from heaven in my opinion. The one by Knott’s is a must stop for me now when in SoCal.

Very cool to see a replica of the original "Dog House", I work near Villa Park where the original Portillos once stood in a parking lot on North Ave. near Safari Land. *I go to Portillos probably once a month.* We have two locations here in the Milwaukee area. One is located in *Greenfield Wisconsin* and the other is in nearby *Brookfield Wisconsin.* Ours have Wisconsin-tailored theming with the old gas station and history decals. And the ones just to the south of me in the Chicago area are themed in the 1930s with mob history and Route 66 and such. (Chicago is the beginning point of Route 66) Chicago is also home to the largest Mcdonalds at 19,000 sq.ft. which is the same size as the Orlando location. Plus Chicago is home to the actual *Corporate Headquarters of Mcdonald's* which is the true largest McDonald's at 450,000 sq.ft. and features a fully functioning restaurant in Addition to Hamburger University and the corporate offices. Chicago is also home to the world's largest Starbucks at 5 stories tall and 35,000 sq.ft. (43,000 sq.ft. if you count the 5th-floor outdoor dining area.) The Portillos Lemon cake is amazing! And yes their Roast Beef sandwiches are amazing as well. It looks like the south will finally know what real hot dogs taste like for the first time. You haven't had a real hot dog until you have had a real Chicago hot dog. Anything else is just an imitation. Fun Fact: There is only one White Castle in the state of Wisconsin. It's located in Kenosha Wisconsin on I-94 and Hwy 50. Kenosha is also home to the corporate headquarters of "Uline" as well as Jokey International (Underwear and socks company) and Snap-On Tools Corporation. Kenosha Wisconsin also has Carpetbagger's must-visit attraction Mars Cheese Castle. 😉
