husqvarna sm125 20whp untouched cylinder, 28.2whp with spacer to lift cylinder and porting. so like 40% :) did some work on my friends suzuki pv oem cylinder, 1.5hp from the factory. stroked +10mm bored +7mm. 3port exhaust, a few more transfer ducts and it made 14.8whp so does it count as 980% :D

I've got a Suzuki LT250r cylinder that was welded up in a number of areas and has about that much exhaust port. I just have to finalize the squish and chamber volume before it's ready to run. That KX should do well.

I really hope so, it has done spectacular before, with kawasaki cylinder that i ported. But this is a new fresh start with back to 72mm stroke and redesigning the intake. the cylinder looks really good from the start, they say it´s a scaled up copy of Honda RS125R cylinder.

Most i have gotten out from a moped was a rieju drac, i put 80cc on it, homemade intake and exhaust, did some portning and ran it on methanol, it put out 28hp at the wheel.
@Patricks_ProjectsАй бұрын
That´s really good for an 80cc, good job!

@@Patricks_Projects yea i was happy with it. Top speed was 145km/h, death trap on 2 wheels 😂

Love the balance shaft and reverse cylinder mods being done on this kx 👌 I’m reversing x1 of the cylinders on a Vtwin 2 stroke…… is there any downsides you have come across or can think of to turning the cylinder 180 degrees? With crank rotation and carb inlet being standard? (Boost port flow etc???)
@Patricks_ProjectsАй бұрын
Nice, thanks =) Actual function would be the same, i´m thinking gasflow etc etc. But one thing to consider is that the thrust side of the cylinder is also 180 turned. That means if you are having a cylinder with intake, and like kawasaki,, big open area. This supports piston less, in my case when first tried this with my kawasaki cylinder, i broke the piston like after just 5 minutes of runtime. That´s why i decided to use a non intake cylinder and make(still in progress) a crankcase intake system. The easy way is an reedvalve, but i am at this point sketching a little on doing a rotating disc intake, no promises though. I just might take the easy way out. But i AM curious about rotating discs ;)

What are you working towards markings made with scribe or a marker of some kind?
@Patricks_ProjectsАй бұрын
At this point just measure by eyes, setting hights later i will use a sharpie to paint the cylinder, and then scratch my lines into that.

@@Patricks_Projects thanks for clearing that up brother I was thinking you must be a wizard if you’re about to free hand this job to completion lol

What's your opinion on the best exhaust port design? Single oval, bridged, or triple auxiliary? I'm building a rc1 scooter engine and I'm trying decide on what cylinder to go with.
@Patricks_ProjectsАй бұрын
I would say triple. This because it offers best ring life in my opinion. Well,, mild single port will ofcourse be better. But if we are talking high performance exhaust ports, i´ll take tripe every day in the week.
@zacharygillette7810Ай бұрын
@@Patricks_Projects sounds like I'm going to be going with the ottopunto 8.1 cylinder, going to make an adapter plate to put the rc1 style 8.1 cylinder on my short case horizontal minarelli!

what do you use for the lubrication of the burrs? anything people recommend is allways hard to get in europe (atleast what ive tried to look).
@Patricks_ProjectsАй бұрын
It´s a wax specially for cutting in Aluminium, works really good. I tried to search, but i cannot find it now :(
