They are doing a good job there. That "interrupting" is what actually makes footages like this happen. Singers are not talkers. so you need talkers to help singers talk. Otherwise, forget it.

If a singer needs "interruptions" to keep going, then interviewer is shallow. With a good interviewer a deep questions and time to thorouhly answer them is the best variant for interviewing an artist.

I know she's a bit shy and gives very few interviews, which is why I was interested in what she thought and what she had to say. But the interviewers ego wrecks things because he speaks over 80% of the words in the clip and we don't get to hear much from Gibbons. That's bad technique and poor journalism by any standard.
