Brave man to crawl inside the bunker Martin, I would have done it no problem when I was a kid but not now. A walk with a different perspective from Portishead, with January weather looking milder than it is now. Discovery's on your own doorstep, plenty there when you put some time into it.

Thanks. I must admit i was a bit nervous going into the bunker as i had visions of it collapsing on me . It was a great walk but very long.

Aww you didn’t say SS Gert Biggun 😂 We had no idea the bunker existed and have never been along that stretch of coast from Portishead to Clevedon. I don’t think I would have been brave enough to go inside the bunker. We spent part of our wedding day in Clevedon and stayed in the Walton Hotel. We had sandwiches on the pier. Lovely shots of the pier at the end. Glad it wasn’t so cold on our wedding day 😅

@@NicolaExplores Ss Gurt Biggun 🤣🤣 Love it. That little beach where the bunker is has lots of interesting stuff on it. I was a bit nervous going in the bunker but I felt it would make the video a bit more interesting. My wife's brother got married in The Waton Hotel. Its very old & a bit quirky inside. We loved the old lift. 😊😊

Great video Martin. Some super shots there - not noticed those buildings in Portishead before. The Royal Inn is a super pub. I have not done this walk yet - just about to publish my walk from Weston-S-M to Brean Fort and back tomorrow night. Love you editing style. Super stuff! Cheers, Paul

Thanks Paul. This was a year ago. This is how slow my editing can be sometimes. I filmed most of the shots in one day but returned to both Portishead & Clevedon in the few weeks after to film extra shots & B-Roll etc. I did enjoy deiting this one & trying out some Black & White shots. Looking forward to seeing your Weston Video. Cheers mate.

@@MartinPopeFilmmaker It worked out really well. I love the B Roll and the monochrome shots. Yes, I am a slow editor too - the latest one was two days work.

@@Somersetmanwalking Thanks Daz. It was something I've been meaning to do for ages. I filmed most of it one one day then went back to both Portishead & Clevedon to do follow up shots & the black & white timelapses. 😊😊

Lovely video Martin, I did the same walk last year though I started it near the beach part of Portishead and it was lovely to resist it with you. Agree that parts of it were a bit narrow. I think it's quite a popular walk in the warmer months.

@@JessesGrandDaysOut Hi Jessie. It was your video that inspired me to do the walk. I did find it a long walk & was glad when I finished. There were quite a lot of things yo see on the way. My favourite was the old WW2 thing on the beach that I went inside. 😊😊

Same! Can always rely on Martin to go somewhere a little more unusual.
