Great to see the snottys back.I remember catching them off the breakwall harbour side many years ago. Also before the new boat ramp was built we caught them in the area that ran right up beside the visitor centre, along with large silver trevs and decent size pinky’s.Such a great variety of fish in Portland. My father and I have done over 30 trips over the past years and never had a bad experience. Can’t wait to get back there,as l haven’t been since covid.

Yell out and say hi next time you're here. We're so happy to see the snotty's back for this year, they seem to come and go with the tides.

Hi great video what's the legal size and limit ? Thanks Phil

Hey Phil, no size limit and a total of twenty per angler. They have a great white flesh if you keep a feed.

rawlo how do i catch flathead in portland (from land) do you have any spots nearby?
@rawlosfishing9 ай бұрын
Land based fishing for flathead in Portland is a bit hit and miss, the quality of fish is also on the smaller side. The break wall is always worth a try and will produce flatties, also try the rocks at Pivot Beach. Conventional surf tackle is your best shot in these areas, load up with some local squid and give it your best shot.
