In some ways, perhaps losing the video was a blessing in disguise. I appreciated hearing the intricate ways you broke down your race strategy and execution, how things played out, and the lessons you learned. This video is a nice tutorial for runners who want to be better strategic racers.

Missing the footage is disappointing for everyone, I’m sure. But it’s not the end of the world. What I liked about today’s vlog, was the time that you took to offer your retrospective insight. To hear what goes on the inside of an elite runner’s mind while he was racing, is informative and useful. It’s interesting to learn a little about strategy and not just pure raw speed. It was also good to hear you speak of your shortcomings and yet your positive outlook on how you learned from them for the benefit of your future races. I believe that is will be helpful for the aspiring kids to see and hear you address that aspect. It reminds them that you are human, just like them. And for them to keep pushing forward, no matter what. Good luck with your future!

Hey L&L I started running last year in the 7th grade and was wondering if when you count up your weekly mileage do you add your warm-up distance two?
@LLexandleovloggs Жыл бұрын
yes I always add in my warm ups and cool downs. If I ran it, its mileage.
@captainlooney1924 Жыл бұрын
hey there, not sure if you see this but no, you shouldn't. for one, it helps mentally to not by . second, in my recent years of running I have been coached to warmup time based and not distance based. This is because your warmup should always be based on how you are feeling that day to warm up affectively, so you shouldn't take it into account for the mileage because of its variability if that makes any sense.

I have a question. Right now, I am running in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23, but I want to try something different because I have been running in this type of shoe for a year now. Plus it is boring to run in lol. With summer cross country training coming up, my weekly mileage will go up to around 50-ish milles and I will be doing a long run once a week consisting of 10-12 miles as well as 6-7 mile runs 5 days a week. I will also be doing a double run once a week consisting of 3 miles in the afternoon. With that in mind, what shoe do you think I should pick up? Possibly two shoes to rotate with if they are cheap enough and fit into my budget. I want something that is able to handle the longer distances and something that will keep me injury free because I tend to have issues with my knees like IT band syndrome and Peteller tendinitis. I want something that can pick up the pace sometimes because my friends like to go unnecessarily fast lol. Plus it needs to be durable, as I am running lots of miles this summer. Also, I run mostly on the roads with the occasional trail run here and there. A shoe that you recommend that can do all of this would be great but if you recommend two shoes that I can rotate with, that would be fine as well. Thanks.
