A classic story line for Portland wrestling. One of the best feuds in pro wrestling. Got to love Don Owen comments. These two guys had some of the most bloody matches. Never got old. Thansk to Tom Peterson for putting these matches on tv. Loved going to the Portland sports arena and racing home to watch it again on tv. Great times down there

Good old portland wrestling. Good guys and bad guys. Watch it live and go home and see it again on ch12. Wrestling today can't hold a candle to it.

@@rowds there had been so many times when we weren’t supposed to be able to watch the Main event on TV, but Tom Peterson (with two great stores to serve you) stepped in for us less fortunate and said I’ll sponsor this match! Air it on TV! Dude was a hero. Very sad over his bankruptcy. He was Best Buy before there was Best Buy.

I've seen the idea of the "stretcher match" executed in several different ways across different territories...I think this variation--with the wrestlers surrounding the ring and having to carry the guy back to the dressing room and the wrestler trying to fight his way off the stretcher--is the best variation I've seen.

Have this match on dvd . Awesome match . Nothing like an old school blood feud where 2 guys just beat the hell out of eachother to settle their differences .Back when wrestling and storylines meant something .

Instead of taking Rip Oliver back to the dressing room, the honest wrestlers should have taken him out the front door. That is how I would book a stretcher match.

Rip Oliver - major heel. Ugh. I stopped watching PW because heels like Rip Oliver or The Grappler just couldn't hold a candle to the likes of Bull Ramos, The Kangaroo's, The Von Steigers, The Vachon's, and those that came before them. But PW was the nations best when at it's best.
