MUCHOS APPRECIADOS AGAIN SIR WYNTON AND ASSOCIATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MANY OF THE YOUNGER JAZZ ENTHUASISTS TODAY WOULD NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE LEGENDARY ''SATCHMO''. AS A LITTLE FELLA AT SCHOOL HE WAS GETTING INTO A BIT OF MISCHIEF...., (like we all have when we were kids) BUT SOME ONE TOOK HIM UNDER HIS ''WINGS'' AND PUT HIM IN THE SCHOOL BAND AND IF I REMEMBER WELL THE MUSIC TEACHER GIVE HIM A TRUMPET AND STARTED GIVING HIM MUSIC LESSONS.., MAN!!!! HE TOOK TO IT LIKE A 'DUCK TO WATER' AND EVENTUALLY BECAME A JAZZ LEGEND. THE NICKNAME CAME FROM SOMEONE THAT SAID HIS LIPS LOOKED LIKE THE MOUTH OF A ''SATCHELL'' WHICH IS A ''LIPPED'' LEATHER BRIEF CASE OPENING. THOSE HIGH NOTES WERE A MAJOR PART OF HIS PERFORMANCES,, TRUMPET HELD AT ABOUT A 40 DEGREE FACING UPWARDS. HE WAS A BIT OF A COMEDIAN ALSO., COULD TELL FUNNY JOKES AND MAKE EVERYONE LAUGH., WITH HIS FAMOUS ''GRAVEL VOICE'' THE WORLD OF MUSIC DO MISS HIM VERY MUCH AS WELL AS HIS FANS LIKE MYSELF. 😆😁😊 DMDV.

This is great but i would say it what this really did was remind of just how incredible Louis Armstrong was and how even today his style is unmatched by even the best. Like Wayne Bergeron or Eric Myrishimo playing Maynard covers. Incredible playing... but it's like a gap a mile wide when you get to the nuances of articulation, vibrato, shaping of the sound. Louis Armstrong's control of vibrato oozes through all of his playing and often so subtle it's barely there. But it is there. Amazing amazing performance and taking nothing at all from the incredible players. To Louis: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaTYf4FsoNdliMUsi=1Di9r48ueDSmKaHi
