Yep! I teach at SVA here in NYC. Dumblucked my way in and now they're stuck with me mwaha. I use the UFC roster portraits for my portrait painting class ha. I tell the kids it's because they're all in the same light with a clear white background. Meanwhile it's just so I can tell them old war stories like a shotgun grandpa on a porch. "This here is Jose Aldo, kids. Let me tell you about how he used to kick legs so hard people would tap out *tokes cigar*"

Thanks! Check the video description for a link to the brushes used in the video. If you slow down the video, you can see which ones I'm selecting for each portion. It's mostly just two brushes with the default settings as they appear in that brush presets zip file. I also have an unlisted KZbin video which is a recording of the university class I teach. @@Carlo-sr1fh Totally random, but I happened to be writing down what brushes I used for a student of mine. Thought I would pass it along in case you find yourself- a year later- still interested! These are by name from my set, the same one from the description for the video. Block-in drawing and very first color pass: *ScratchyVersatile* Soft light, first pass at shadows, sidelight: *gradEdge* (opaque in the center, gradual fall to transparent at top and bottom- great for JUST LIGHT no detail) < break from painting to cut up areas and resize them or shift them > First pass at details, finding clear facial planes: *gradEdge* (sizes down to create "lines" which are contrasty but not sharp) Add texture, hard edges, details, shadow shapes: *scratchyVersatile* Skin texture, shaved hair texture: *porousGrain* < break from painting to Liquify to help get likeness > Final detail, actual hard painted shapes, fully opaque marks to serve as pure highlights: *scratchyVersatile*
