Great cover. I especially love the tone you get out of your rig. It thumps just right. Care to share about your technique/equipment?

I just started to pick the song apart. I think you got the bassline accurate. Love it. Thanks for sharing. I do believe the bass part was picked - at least on the video. The mix from the band playing live mixes the bass part much weaker. Think the bassline should be prominent, and your video shows it really makes the song.

Thanks man, but I think the rhythm is a bit wrong, I mean the two sixteenths on Beat 1 and 3 are like triplet 3 [♪ ч ♪]
@Boethius47484 жыл бұрын
No sir, they are not like triplets. Subdivide the beat in your head and that much is clear. The bass in the recording is playing a little behind the beat. Maybe that's what you're hearing as a triplet? It's not, though. Aside from that this song is so straight that, if they were triplets, they would stick out obnoxiously. Florain did the job correctly.

It's pretty much just how the P bass sounds like. It's the perfect Studio instrument because of it's tonal simplicity, It's legit bound to sound good regardles of the circumstances, though the strings used might play a slight role in the sound too...
