@@jmlmo35 I find it extremely counterintuitive. On the map it looks like a tangled cobweb, like the roads in Kentucky, without a uniform ID scheme. Spain, for example, as a uniform ID scheme throughout: national roads (N-XXX) go throughout the country and are numbered clockwise by distance from Madrid, and other roads follow a similar scheme but abbreviated by the name of the city they stem from Portugal doesn't seem to have a set system for identifying highways throughout the country at all, and most of the off roads spiral around and intersect with each other constantly. The A roads don't even seem to follow a pattern, but it's up to you to memorize where each A road is If I got it all wrong please please tell me I really want to know about Portugal's road system but can't seem to find much information on it

@@unigoatgames2306 Oh come on...that's because you 're get used to the american highway system. But here, we don't have any problem surfing our highways.

No rest parks apart from gas stations, no emergency exit/entrance gates and awful safety teams. In fact, non-existent. Also very expensive in comparison with most of the countries.

The country is peanut sized, what do you need rest stops for if almost every gas station has a resting area with picnic park and restrooms?

@@Marques_239 In average gas stations are 40/50 km apart one to another. For a car means 20 minutes, for a lorry that means 40 minutes. In case of emergency or mandatory rest for professional drivers is a long distance. Obviously y've never thought about this. Your answer sucks.

@@bluetooth2000 Thats the same in Spain, France and Germany, giver or take a few km. I've experienced it. You're just dissing for the sake of it, it's not a real problem.

Driving on them for the last few days. Just wonderful and well signed. 120 km/ hr on the A series I have so far used. Being passed by many doing 140-160.
