@NoOne-nx7en19 күн бұрын
@millionplacesoneworld It really depends from the place, here in the south I think people go more for softer drinks with it, like Amarguinha (bitter almond liquor) or Licor Beirao. But I also seen people have it with stronger drinks like wiskhey or medronho (fire water). This is more a habit of regulars than tourists, people usually have a digestive drink with the coffee, if on that day they don't feel like having one they ask for a cafe with cheirinho and usually the person serving already knows wich drink they have with the coffee

"Arroz de Polvo" and "Bacalhau com Natas" are not two dishes I would ever associate with "not for the weak". If it was "Chanfana", "Cabidela", "Tripas" or "Dobrada", then you could say that. 😉 "Sopa de Peixe" without chunks of fish? You've been scammed! The fish on that one was probably just the flavour, either from a fish stock or from a Caldo Knorr. 14:40 - I don't think any portuguese would do it, at least not any sane portuguese. 😄 20:30 - Ah ah ah, what a low blow by Roberto! 🤣 By the way, that's called "café com um cheirinho" in Portuguese. Memorise the name so that you can order one next time. Or not. 😆
@millionplacesoneworld25 күн бұрын
Not for the weak part was about a bottle of red and fire water😅 Not for everyday lunch, for sure. BUT I believe when I try Cabidela, Tripas, or Dobrada, the name will be similar for the video 😄 Yes, the soup was good, and it tasted natural (not from Knorr), but it was indeed missing fish pieces. But since we ate prato do dia, it's not such a big issue. Well, prices are always surprisingly low during lunchtime. About coffee, I remember there was a mousse with the same name. I better stick with that, not sure if I'm a fan of hot liqueur😁
@module79l2825 күн бұрын
@@millionplacesoneworld - What restaurants usually put in the chocolate mousse is either Rum or other flavoured spirits (Anis, Licor Beirão, etc), not something as tasteless as "bagaceira". 😉 But you're right, "cheirinho" is used for many things and it always has the same meaning.
