PORTUGUESE TARTS RECIPE INGREDIENTS :
Puff pastry ½ kg roll and cut into circles to fit in muffin pans
Ingredients for Filling :
Vanilla custard 1 ½ cup
Milk 2 tbsp
Custard powder 5 tbsp
Sugar 4 tbsp
Condensed milk 2 tbsp
Vanilla essence few drops
Egg yolks 2
Some sugar to sprinkle on top
METHOD :
Prepare custard, add in essence and egg yolks, roll out puff pastry to ¼ inch thick, cut out circles to fit the cupcake tray, prick the circles and press in cupcake cavity to form cups, pour prepared custard mixture in each cup, brush the edges of cupcakes with egg wash, bake on 180 D for 30 mins, remove, cool and serve.
KATAKAT QEEMA RECIPE INGREDIENTS :
Chicken mince 500 gm
Boiling hot water 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Chicken powder 1 tsp
Crushed red pepper 1 ½ tsp
Chili powder ½ tsp
Black pepper crushed ½ tsp
Roasted ground cumin 1 tsp
Roasted ground coriander 1 tsp
Dried fenugreek 1 tsp
Tomatoes 4 large cut-in halves
Green chilies 4-5
Water as req
Yogurt ½ cup beaten
Oil ¼ cup
Clarified butter ¼ cup
Chopped green chilies 3
Chopped ginger julienne 2 tbsp
Chopped coriander 3 tbsp
METHOD :
Add some ginger garlic to the tawa with ½ cup water and mince, now use the chop-chop spoons, place tomato halves and green chilies in the center as well, cover, and cook for 10 mins, once tomatoes are tender, peel off the skin and start doing chop on the tawa, add all spices, and chop chop very well, if required add some more water, add in yogurt, oil, ghee, cover and cook till oil comes on top, finally add in the ginger, kasurimethi, green chilies, and coriander, serve with nan.
