In this San Diego golf lesson Porzak Golf helps college golfer Jared on how to hit full wedge shots. How to hit solid wedge shots has to do with pre setting impact and then swinging around fixed points. Wedge shot set up needs to be in the proper position so all you have to do is rotate. Having the proper wedge shot setup also helps you to hit wedges lower if you need to as well. Golf wedges explained here will help you understand the proper wedge swing and why it is different. Learn how to hit full wedge shots and and wedge shots 50-75 yards, it's the same concept just a bigger swing.
We teach out of beautiful San Diego, California at Bernardo Heights CC, we would love for you to get an online lesson with us or an in person lesson!

Something you said aside from the wedges a bit. I feel like I hit my best golf shots when i feel like im "casting" from the top so i have actively stopped doing it because i just assume its wrong. Maybe its not? When i dont i feel like the club gets way behind and face wide open blocked cuts. (sounds like i need another lesson haha!)

Creating the impact blueprint for 75 yd and in shots. Makes so much sense to get rid all any extra wrist/hands to get into the impact you want. Perfect video as I go work on my new wedges, happy new year!

Getting your foundation/checkpoints solid before doing anything. My biggest thing is my grail elbow flaring out in my takeaway which I think is causing the inconsistent contact I’ve been facing. One day I’ll break 90 the next day it feels like I can’t swing a golf club, super frustrating.

would you recomend a high handicapper to get a 48 degree vokey wedge which is what i currently have. my Titlist AP1 PW from the set is at 43 degrees. Should i consider getting a 'game improvement' attack/gap wedge or stick with the 48 degree vokey.. Its my confidence club also. my 54 degree vokey i use as my sand wedge. should i consider getting a game imrpovement sand wedge? i dont use it really anywhere else. my 60 i rarely touch.

Love the connection or connecting with the target! I holed out 3 or 4 of maybe 15 chips, all of which were close to the hole. Granted this was only 10-15 yards, but setting the impact position had that ball Flush on the face…..feels sooo good! I need to work on my “inside 100” wedge game and found this nugget! I’ve recently started using the hip bump and it’s as though I’m setting the impact position (sort of) with all the clubs…..thanks so much Adam! I too have joined the club of watching No Others!

I've truly felt changes in my golf swing that have me hitting the ball better than ever thanks to Porzak golf.. I'm balanced, hitting the ball solid & farther. The biggest change has been in my short game.. I had the dreaded yips for over a year, but not anymore.. I'm standing confident once again over ever pitch & chip shot.. I can't thank you enough Adam.. I hope to meet you someday and thank you in person
