Except Paris is burning was made by mostly white cis men who didn’t compensate the community they were documenting. Pose has persons of color who are lgbtq+ in front and behind the camera and all of whom are getting paid equally. Facts.

This show has made me an Ally!!!! I didn't know there was so much racism in the community today, just as much as it has been in the past. Internet influencer Funky Dineva and podcast "the read" have also help me understand how important this show is as well. As far as viewing the show on a regular basis I do record it, and I know that will not help the ratings however all I need is direction on how to support each of you ladies as well as the writers. As an African American woman I can relate and understand however I do know that it is not the same and I know that your struggle is much harder. I just want to say that I appreciate something that is interesting, fresh, educational and empowering. I am here to support anytime you guys are in the Washington DC area. I need Instagram pages so that I can support you on that platform, I need whatever other projects that you have going on so that I can support you in that form because I am a complete fan. Oh and by the way I am showing my three year old and my seven-year-old parts of the show that I can because as a lot it has a lot of adult content in it. Fghh Bbh It’s about the ballroom scene amongst black and Latino gay and trans people during the 1980s where they would partake in the dance form known as voguing and engage in drag.

I'm sorry this show will be cancelled after one season. It looks good but it doesn't translate me as a QPOC. I can tell the writers are mostly white and I don't care about some closeted rich white man or how his "world" crumbles after they find out his secret. If I was in charge I'd drop the stories about trump real estate and focus solely on the drama surrounding the ball scene and maybe use the trans woman with dreams of grandeur as a surprise finale murder. Then next season would be about how the cops aren't taking her murder seriously because she's a street walker who nobody cares about.

See, your part of the problem lol always concerned with color. Out of all the scenes you chose the only second white person shown and chose to run wild with your "predictions" of what this show is. And so what if that IS his storyline..... do you not realize the majority of t.v. watchers are older white people???? The younger generations are KZbinrs.... anyway the entire point is to integrate these story line's so that the "white audience" can familiarise and begin to relate and LOVE these character's and finally see how the SHOULD be treating everyone with love and peace. So go on and talk your mess if you want to, but don't forget that the best way to show the world how you feel is by conveying it through relative eye's 👏

As a Trans woman to see Trans women as main characters on TV is amazing. The show may not be perfect but I am seeing myself for the first time on TV in main roles and it allows young queer/trans people to see themselves on TV.
