Set in the 1980s in New York City, Pose is a dance musical that explores the juxtaposition of different segments of society in New York, including the ball culture world. The series stars Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Billy Porter, Indya Moore, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Charlayne Woodard, Dyllón Burnside, Hailie Sahar, Angelica Ross and Angel Bismark Curiel.

I remember my younger cousin assembled the family to tell us he was gay and transiting from male to female. Everyone in our family love and supported her but she told me later that she felt guilty because we all love and supported her and there wasn't a negative story as so many others have with their families. Most of my family members have known my cousin was possible gay since childhood but were unaware that she wanted to transition. My heart breaks for those individuals who have families that turn their backs on family members.

Just as they find Mothers and Fathers in their community, I found love and acceptance from the Mothers and Fathers of my close friends!!!! They all love me unconditionally.
