Actually the blue hole is dangerous. Like most blue hole phenomenon It has a strong current and is only recommended for experienced divers. Deaths there are actually quite common. I know this because when I was in Belize during middle school on vacation my parents wanted to Scuba dive there, but a quick look at the long “hey don’t do this if you aren’t experienced so we won’t be at fault, m’kay” disclaimer made us decide to appreciate it from a distance

The part that finally had me rolling on the floor, laughing my head off was when two anti-ship missiles from an F-16 gave the P-Rex minor flesh wounds. But then an infantry carried rocket launcher took it's head clean off. Realism!

They treat this hole like it's a big deal...First off, there's a bunch of these things out there, and secondly it's not even the deepest and the deepest one isn't that impressive. The South China Sea's "Dragon Hole" is 987 ft (and a huge missed opportunity for this movie, by the way). The deepest human dive on record is over 1000 ft. So yeah, it's pretty deep, but not THAT deep.
