The gold nuggets in this vid are worth the price of the IceLight alone. Name one speaker on photography you have watched on KZbin that even comes close in terms of the amount and quality of useable tips, than what this humble guy has. My first seminar/workshop on wedding photography was about 10 years ago, it was held by a fellow Australian as "one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world" at the time........maybe one usable nugget taken away from it, and cost $400. Jerry spent 2hrs of his time for us, costing zero, and almost every sentence he spoke was gold. Thanks Jerry, pure class mate.

agreed, I have learned so much from this video. point your toe, bend your knee, dip the hip, tilt the head. that was in the first 5 mins of the video. I will be following Jerry for sure.

After 3-4 years , photographers will comeback to this video over and over again to this classic timeless gem. right now the Instagram is full of trends which are short-lived . people are blindly copying photography styles , unnatural edits and using minimalism to justify lack of ability to aesthetically pose someone . Once everything is tried and seen , there is only one way to go back to the basics , i.e showing human body to its best form possible through perspective. Will always be a big fan of Jerry and his work. Lots of love

Jerry is not only one of the very top photographers in the world. He also has the uncanny knack of being able to clearly describe the decisions he makes, and then add in some fun humor to boot. He is the rarest of combinations. I don’t go a day without thinking of something I have learned from him.

I am a newbie in the photography world so discovering Jerry Ghionis has been just fantastic. I love his teaching style, playful but serious. He explains things in a way where when you look at the photograph, you see why he did what he did, and the artistic results from his methods become clear. I learned so much from this posing video. Thank you so much Jerry for your work and willingness to help others learn such a wonderful craft. 💜💜💜

This is the 1st video I've seen thus far on B and H where the photographer actually teaches instead for try to sell a book or a course because they are only there to collect a check. ( No disrespect to the any wonderful photographers that came before him. ) I'm actually walking away with something I can apply to my own work to get results because this gentleman expanded the mechanics of the whys and why nots. Great job Jerry Ghionis.

One of the best if not THE best video about posing in photography! Great video!
@brianminkc10 жыл бұрын
Blown away by Mr. Ghionis ... he is my idea of a real artist. He is the best photographer I have ever seen. His secret is the bias and angle's he puts on the camera when he shoots, along with being a master of composition and light. Every shot a masterpiece.
@stephanyandreas9 жыл бұрын
I've got a lot to learn... And you are a fantastic mentor Mr. Ghionis! Lighting and posing is a craft you have to learn to become a master - no matter how good the cameras are going to be in the future - this is what makes the difference. And THIS IS what I will focus on after watching your video - thank you so much!

This is the guy to be learning from when it comes to KZbin education. There's so many terrible supposed "teachers" on here but Jerry is the real deal. A true master. Between this vid and his In Camera Artistry: Using Any Light Source vid, you have access to amazing high level content. This light years better than anything from Creative Live or from the cavalcade of KZbin jokers like FroKnowsBozo or what ever that Chia Pet hair clown calls himself, or that GWC Nikon Guy twerp, or worse yet the bobblehead beginner SnapChick.

This is just so good. So many people are full about MTF curves, F-stops and ISO readings when in fact today's technology is so good that the Idiot Auto Mode just takes care of everything technical with a margin. Directing the non-professional model is million times more important making your pictures speak than any amount of megapixels on your sensor. Or White Balance this way or that way. Man, it's just a 'click'. Why worry? This guy is very good. gold nuggets for free.
