QOP is getting the Puck treatment right now. Currently, i am trying ET + Morph, morph can get a free BKB along with a nice chunk of damage. Both start in the same lane. Hopefully the safe lane. ET basically starts with the buckler, due to which your morph has infinite-ish armor. And ET does the things what orge does in a lane.

surprised enchantress isn't anywhere on this list. still seems like a decent pick since she's one of the best at denying lane pulls from the other team while able to simultaneously side pull for her offlaner, while providing lane dominance, sustain, forces the enemy team to pick magic damage burst and so on.

He is good in pretty much every game, but not on every lane. There is more pressure for a 4 to help win the lane due to how important the laning stage is now, and Nyx is mostly just a stun in the lane. He’s very strong at giving vision for finding good team fights and baiting fights, but with everyone 5 manning early now, there are better heroes to fight 5v5s or force the enemy to split apart with quick wave clearing. In order of priority, a 4 needs to do the following for this meta : bully/control lane early, TP respond to mid lane dives (instant stun), clear waves, provide vision/initiation for fights.

@@artorias3657 literally everyone in pubs rn. The problem is some players in pubs build mirana as a core late game, utility mirana is much better late game than a carry mirana but maybe it just fits my playstyle. I don't really see a pos 4 mirana going carry into the late game has impact.

Donnie, I have a point about sniper. I’m playing in the ancient bracket and have a stat of 9-1 for the last 10 games as pos 4 sniper. The thing is that people don’t really know what do do against you, you farm fast, if you go necro you can push waves and towers and you deal shit ton of damage, while providing stuns and slow

Es is so hard to play in middle mmr. Nobody will concede a lane for a bit to let es pick up blink at a reasonable time. Super frustrating not getting blinks until almost 25 minutes

Same problem here, just keep searching for a lane to farm (usually mid for me at around 14 minutes) or contribute to ganks or fights with your fissure - maybe even your echo slam if you can and afterwards take the t1 tower (try to get last hit on it if you can :p). This will net some gold and you can farm a lane after this happens. Or you can farm a lane if your team is fighting, only if you think that your contribution to the fight isn't worth a couple creepwaves for you to farm your blink (maybe if your team is stomping and you aren't needed is an example). Never miss a last hit if you can and always aim to get a blink dagger before 20-21 minutes. Keep practising this hero and get good at fissure blocking to secure kills in the early game and stay in your lane if you can't gank mid or bot (queen of pain, antimage, heroes with escape from fissure block) and make the supports life misery by punching his lights out with your w, disrupting pulls, fissure blocking to secure kills and sniping couriers as much as you can. It's a difficult hero to master. Always try to stay hidden so you can get 5 man echo slams as they will forget you are in the game if they don't see you and are unprepared for you (jenkins said this and it helped me out a lot).

Nice list, but as a techies picker i really have to disagree with the consistently low ranking on every dota alchemy tierlist. At this point, the hero has a good winrate, can win the lane pretty much by himself with blast off and you can have huge impact if you utilize your spells correctly and dont play passively by yourself. There is a reason pros like to ban it if their opponent can play it, a good techies is insanely hard to play against. Of course you could say “yeah, but you have to be good with it”, but that applies to rubick, phoenix, tusk and qop as well. If you don’t know what you are doing on THOSE heroes, then you will feed more than a passive techies ever will.

I think what really push tusk and earthshaker to the top right now outside of laning amd team fight is how good they are at contesting 4 min rune. Both can block off terrain secure one side and let the mid get the other side. Not alot of pos 4 can contest mid hero being lvl 2 /3.

Yeah what Mateu said is correct. Zeus is more of a lane dominator, and as a pos4 his powerspike is his agha. In most games it's difficult to reach that amount of farm while other supports like Jakiro, tusk and earth spirit have the same kill potential very early on. Pos 4 heroes are ones that can easily rotate and and get kills around the map, either because of their mobility, nuke or disables (Higher tier heroes are usually all of the above)

I really want to hear your reason for veno being grief tier... I've actually started playing him more because I feel like he does so well right now. Good to roam, good to grab jungle and dangerous farm, happy to fight, easy vision game, tilts supports. Can obliterate team fights just by setting wards, then q, then walk in and ult. Whether you die or not, you're taking half their team with you. If you're positioned right, you won't die and still get the same effects. Played him because the cavern and keep picking him... and winning... I was shocked, too. But I think he's strong. He also has great push and de-push as well as high ground defense and going high ground. His wards are so utility.

It's a farming pos 4 hero that does very little outside of his own lane. If it works for you though, cool. But I think most of the heroes on this list do a better job of being this threatening, annoying, high tempo hero that roams around the map efficiently securing kills and winning lanes. Veno can't do these things effectively (his movement speed is 275, like wtf)

You're right but I think since this a pos 4 role thing, the ward doesn't have much to do with that because you don't typically level it at all in early game. It's an amazing tm fight ability whether you're playing him as a 4, 5, 2, 3, 1

I would love to suggest a video idea! This starcraft 2 player called harstem makes these "replay analysis" videos that are called "imba or do i suck". Where he often doesnt review the ENTIRE replay, just focuses on certain aspects such as lategame and what he should have done/built, which makes the videos for me personally a bit easier to follow, and knowing what to expect from before even clicking on the video.

I am noob, but I believe there are many factors for winning/gain MMR. You could be a good Lina user, or you didn't meet good counters. Tier C is not bad, imagine teams with Ursa as pos 4 or a team with 5 carry heroes.

What about PA pos 4? Insane long range slow, almost all the time smoke for ganks/wards/dewars, can build dominator to get some dmg and together with alpawolf became good dmg dealer in team. It is situational but in case lane is favorable he can really snowball it.

Should give pos 4 jakiro a try some day (I'd say in the better as a 5, but playable as a 4 category). I've had quite a bit of success with it. Being a natural lane bully and with level 2, and especially level 3 those dots add up really quick for some real kill threat potential with the right laning partner. The item build isn't too different either, just focus a bit more on early move speed (windlace) to help move around the map and set up plays. Another plus side is a jakiro with some farm can be quite scary in the mid game, with a euls and/or Atos plus tranquilly he can do a lot, he also has really good lane clear too and can function without farm if needed (eg the carry sucks/had a bad start and needs the extra farm). I've also messed around with a right click carry build abusing Mjolnir and Grove bow magic resistance reduction in a couple of games where it was a free stomp, it's got some potential but definitely won't compete with the super hard carries like spectre, pl, Sven etc.

I play CM pos 4, basilus,tranquil boots,magic wand, teardrop,bracer then vlads then ghost scepter, 200hp talent at lvl 10. My gameplan for early game is to constantly double frost nova the pos 1 and pos 5 in their team and constantly pull the big camp, its super effective. At lvl 3 i have frost nova lvl 2, its huge harassment cuz u always have mana, i bring mango ALWAYS. I made up from ancient 1 to divine 2 in one week. I finish vladimir at around 20 min mark and its huge for my cores. I want to spam CM till immortal and to prove the power of CM. I won few days ago i won 13 games in row, its simply horrific for their pos 1 and their pos 5 must be constantly buying healings cuz me and the pos 3 are destroying their HP. I always click ALT to see if the mid is low HP and i tp mid to give him healing salve, also sometimes when im focused i tell on mic to the mid to engage in fight if he wants and i will tp mid heal him and instantly move on my lane, its a 25 sec job and its effective af, cuz he will have his own salve as an extra. If i die on my lane i always teleport mid and refresh my mid's bottle. Can someone from the higher ranks try this and tell me if its effective, cuz for now, im constantly winning and winning, if it goes like this i will get immortal till the half of June.

Nice vid man, been trying my hand on pos4 as an offlaner, but anyone that keeps asking why their slow nuker isn't higher in the tier list doesn't really understand the point of the role. All the high tier pos4 right now have high mobility/high impact skills, plus it doesn't take them 15+ seconds to reach the mid lane for the 4min rune contest. If you want to play zeus go mid.

Yes, this is his only saving grace Can he secure kills? Partially with his q, no stun Does veno want to fight a lot? Not really, he'll only want to fight in his part of the map. Does veno have any survivability? Nope Can he gank the other lanes in the early game? 100% no What does veno actually do? Afk farms his lane and pressures towers, uses that farm to buy utility items for his team... and yeahhh... Problem with veno is that he does fuck all compared to the other heroes on this list. If he is with an offlaner who wants to stay in lane and not move around the map, then veno has to jungle. He just can't and doesn't do what position 4 heroes should be doing (roaming, being a big threat in the early game, fighting lots, slippery, secure kills properly). He isn't as bad as riki and pudge, but he does very little from what should be expected from a position 4. Would you rather have a veno 4 or an earthshaker 4? Pretty obvious right, if you think of all the things an earthshaker can do that veno can't do.

Pos4 is the hardest position in game rn. Many heroes who are broken as pos4 are good only if you know how to play them. If you dont know how to plag nyx, its useless for you, doesnt matter saksa has 80% winrate on nyx...

The same point about not knowing how to play applies to all heroes. Rubick is a very high skill hero, not knowing how to play him is a grief too. I didnt talk about a specific pro player winrate.
