Absolutely beautiful cards! No matter how many videos of yours I watch, I'm always amazed how I learn something new. I would think you would run out of good idea, but no! You always give us such great material and inspiration. When I'm in a funk and don't know what to create, I just watch some of your videos and voila....ideas start flowing. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to make these videos and I can't wait until your next one! 🥰🥰

Jennifer, I'm so excited to apply these techniques! I just received four of the Dina Wakely Gloss Spray colors and have had a ball creating many backgrounds. I really went nuts and sprayed it on die cuts, through stencils, and over masking. I love it when products make me look at my stash in a different light. I have a lot to learn and, as my grandson says, more 'spearaminting' to do!😀

I love the positive/negative card. Reminds me of notan or the inside/outside square technique Jane Dunnewold teaches. I usually use my decorative dies to make foam stamps and frequently use the fall out pieces to make a negative image stamp as well. I also rearrange the fall out pieces to make other patterns for foam stamps. Some of the chads are so pretty even though they are meant to be thrown out. I don’t often make anything with the chads when die cutting paper. I think it’s not only a good idea, but an inspiring one too. More bang for our crafty buck.

I really like this card. The blue/green colors remind me of turquoise stones. You reminded me of some die cutting techniques that I would like to use. I have never ever used any of my various sprays but now I feel like I should try out some of them. I paused the video to select a box to use as my designated spray box 😊. Your idea for the background die cut is great. I would never think of doing that so thank goodness for your creative thinking. TFS! 🙏🏽

Such great techniques that you share with us. I will have to try these once I get back into my craft room. Very beautiful cards too Jennifer.. I have some of Diane Wakely's sprays too and love them. I tried to sit in my craft room for about an hour the other day and my left foot swelled up like a hot air balloon; I guess my foot is not ready for the craft room yet. I am trying though..

I enjoy seeing Jennifer McGuire make mixed media pieces. I have like using acrylic paint sprays over ink sprays because once acrylic paint dries I don’t have to worry about a piece getting wet in the future. Excellent for mixed media. I like to make my own sprays for several reasons but the biggest one is that I don’t use them up fast enough and they go bad usually because the nozzle clogs. I like to make small amounts to use up at one time. You can make acrylic sprays too in ordinary art spray bottles, even cosmetic spray bottles work. I like the spray bottles sold in the fine art sections of big box craft stores or any of the ones sold at Dick Blick. The other part about making my own sprays or texture pastes is that I can completely customize them . I add glitter and mica powder to suit. Also mix colors. Plus once you get to know the acrylic mediums, Golden Paints and Liquatex have excellent instructional videos, you can also customize your sheen. You can have glossy sprays or super matte sprays and everything in between. I like that so many fine art products are making their way into the paper crafting world. I don’t like that those products are often more expensive than their fine art equivalents. That bit is frustrating. But it’s great that they ease makers into a new medium in a less intimidating way.

Can you use those sprays with stencils? I wonder how they would wash off? And I can see using the negative space of a sentiment, then spraying, so just the sentiment is enamel. Hmmm.
