Spark 2 Help Series: Updating Firmware

My positive grid spark 2 will be arriving today, it is the first positive grid product I have ever purchased, I hope all of these issues I've been hearing about firmware updates have been Remedy by positive Grid or I will be utilizing Sweetwaters 30-day return policy, and it will be the last positive grid product I will have ever purchased.

I don’t get any prompts to update firmware, but there is a firmware update notification at the top left. When I tap that, it just shows an update is available. I definitely don’t even get a connect to WiFi prompt.

Had trouble with MCU update…power button flashes..not the battery light 🤪 Got it all figured out and bought the Jimi Hendrix bundle too. Wow..

I have successfully connected to Wifi but firmware update always ends up with the Error: "Update Failed. Please reboot your device and try again. (Error Code: %1$@)". I have tried to reboot, restore to factory setting but the result is always this error. Any idea on how to proceed?

impossible for me to add the amp to the app, via bluetooth...even when trying to pair my phone and the amp...maybe may amp needs an update but how can I update it via cable to my mac then ?

I have a hidden wifi, and it's not seeing it, so it won't let me choose it, are there alternatives?

No puede ser tan complicado conectarse a una app, solo he podido conectarme por tres ocasiones despues de mucho tratarlo, lo he intentado todo y simplemente al abrirla se vuelva cerrar. arrepentido estoy de haber comprado este aparato, mucha publicidad de su aplicación y es una porqueria por no decir otra cosa.

This is funny actually - if you update the Spark 2 'thru the air' it can take a LONG time. May be better to use a usb-c to usb-c cable to plug your phone into the amp. I guess they forgot about this.

How much time does it takes the update? I tried 3 times already and after more than 30min.there is no update. No issue on internet connection and already tried with different phones. Any suggestions?

Hi @rockfan - I just updated the firmware on my Spark 2 and it only took about two minutes. Maybe the Positive Grid servers were busy when you tried.
