BRILLIANT! This grandma will be taking turns with the other grandma in homeschooling and I'm CLUELESS, feels like I'm a grumpy granny instead of FUN NiNi! You are AWESOME. I'd love it if you could do something on getting them to focus or LOVE tracing / writing the letters / numbers. I'm watching ALL your videos. I'm even letting the ads run hoping it helps with a little payback. Thank you for what for your service here. :) Makes me feel like I might can do this after all. :)

Thank you so much! Thanks for the suggestions; I will definitely put a video together for tracing and writing numbers and letters. But for now, I would suggest make it fun! You could take a cookie sheet and put a thin layer of flour, sand, oatmeal (whatever you have on hand) and have the little ones use their fingers to trace letters and numbers in the tray. If you are feeling up to a mess, you could use pudding. The children love to trace and then lick it off their fingers. Another idea is to write the letters out very large (one per sheet of paper) and have the little ones trace the letter with a glue bottle then cover the glue with yarn (or shake over the letter with glitter!). It's really about exposure and having the little one approach the learning from lots of different ways. Have fun and thank you for stepping in to teach your grandbabies during this very unprecedented time! Go fun NiNi!

Love your ideas. I also put a little piece of tape on the thumb hole so they know that the tape goes up to the sky not down to the ground.

Hi Cindy, I absolutely love all of your wondering tips, thank you so much. Do you have a video on how to do well on a job interview for a preschool teacher position? Any tips on questions and answers they are looking for? Thank you so much once again. Have a beautiful blessed day 💗
@positivepreschooltips3 жыл бұрын
I do not have a video but thank you for the suggestion. I have been in a position (several years ago) that I interviewed and hired preschool teachers. Of course, always arrive on time (if not a little early) and dressed neatly. I would suggest putting together a mock lesson plan to present during the interview. It will show off all your good ideas and demonstrate that you are a TEACHER not just someone looking for a job in a preschool. Experience is something every employer looks for and if you are just starting out, remember that babysitting, camps, church activities or any other experience with young children counts! Discipline and how you would handle a difficult child is always a question that is asked when hiring preschool teachers. I always wanted perspective teachers to mention: redirection, and strategies that focused on a positive approach. I didn't want to hear 'time-out' or 'take away privileges". If she mentioned that she would work to understand why the child was acting out, she would get extra points :). Good luck and let me know if I can help in any other way!!!!

Hi Cindy, thank you so much for these lovely ideas! I would like to make a request, to you and all those who are reading these comments, instead of using a stapler, please apply glue inside and stick the paper bag. The stapler pins are once thrown away, if they are not properly recycled, they get lost and land up in animal stomachs causing them harm.
