The thing about being with a dragon, or dragon blood (also called dragonborn), is that even the most benign of dragons have something of a temper. And they are not so much possessive, as they are fiercely protective and territorial. This, is something I accept about their kind whole heartedly. Honestly, I really don't mind giving myself over to her.

That's an interesting philosophical question! Violence is definitely a common component, but of course gentle yanderes exist. There are a few other things that I think differentiate a regular possessive girl from the yandere trope; a yandere stalks their darling, objectifies them, violates their boundaries without caring about the consequences or the impact on them, and is extremely hostile to those outside the relationship. But it's possible to be possessive without doing those things, I think.
