This book was a great resource for ideas, practical advice kzbin.infoUgkx-b91_bYU48sOwHX-XC49tRRXRxcnOmZm and pro tips I purchased the plans for the 10'x16' colonial and used them for the basics and made my own modifications. I built my shed for storage and lawn equipment, but decided to sheath and side it in case I ever wanted to add insulation and turn it into a shop or bunkhouse. I poured over this book all winter while I planned and found it to be the all-around best shed book out there.

Turn that center island into an island/eating bar area with high chairs and rid of that table to allow a more flowing path in the back. 😉

Nice! The only thing I would change is having the washer and dryer in the bathroom instead of in the bedroom. Or if you can’t do that then at least cover it with a door or something.

This is gorgeous for a small family. The only thing I'd want different is to have the Tv/ fireplace and window to its right swapped. Window where the TV is. I get the chair is there with a window on each side but the fireplace with TV was too close to the counter for my liking I feel like I'd somehow knock it while cooking. Super lovely though 💖💖💖 I want it!

Even when my kids were still at home i don’t think i ever used more than two burners of the stove, and i am a passionate cook who makes everything possible from scratch. Two burner stoves is something not just mobile tiny home designers need to consider. As for the island with no chairs, unless you are a child, or well under thirty, years of age, regularly sitting at a counter is pretty risky to back health. High chairs are designed to promote back injury, with feet hanging and putting pressure on vulnerable spine, back and neck. The separate table is the way to go, but folding chairs and a table that folds or partially folds, would allow more space for moving around in the walking spaces. It needs to be a home convenient to live in, first, if we plan to live “tiny”. Otherwise, all these tiny homes will just end up in a junk pile adding to our overflowing waste.

@@ripolones sorry that happened to you, truly. I am an active 79 year old with a passion for finding that tiny affordable home for folks like me. My comments were not meant as insult, but real life suggestions to builders of those homes, and to be honest, a comment re another comment about eliminating the table and using tall chairs at a counter. Obviously, i have some personal experience, and therefor bias, re the damage tall chairs can do. I like the choice of table and chair instead. In fact, i like the house, just not what i need, and general suggestions about design. I hope you are able to resolve the unlawful use of your photos! Jean

I'd screen that porch off. Too many skeeters around here. I'd prefer a wood burning stove or fireplace insert as where I'd put it wouldn't be anywhere near a gas line. There's no oven in the kitchen, and as much as I bake, that's a problem. Also not much storage space (cabinets/pantry). I'd rather have the laundry in the bathroom than a bedroom, or maybe next to the side entry. The loft set up is very nice - love it!
