Wow! Prince Rupert is my home, it's so exciting to see someone passing through and documenting it! I know we look, very rough around the edges. But our city counsel has been working hard to rebuild and revitalize our small community. I also feel we hide in the beauty of Mother nature why we don't see a lot of our derilect buildings haha

It was such a good experience exploring a place I knew nothing about. The downside of that is walking into a place completely ignorant. I hope I didn't offend! I love that the locals are watching this - I keep hearing that you guys have a really good community. And I can easily understand that the main attractions of Prince Rupert actually lay in Nature. There's a lot of great little historical tidbits to learn about as well. I hope I can come back sometime and share some coffee and chats with you locals, because you all seem really cool!

Haida Gwaii has certainly stuck with me. I eventually had to leave to go back home to see how Dad's recovery was progressing. But I feel a huge push to go back there someday and see the rest of the archipelago. Especially Gwaii Haanas and the backcountry (accessible by the back roads) on Graham and Moresby islands. I need a 4x4 and some kayak skills 😅

very nice video, the drive between Terrace and Prince Rupert is one i'll always love. Our City has put a lot of money into the water front areas, due to the increasing amount of Cruise Ships coming in each year, sadly they haven't done much with the core down town area, many of our buildings remain boarded up and run down. The people that own them don't want to fix them up, and the ones worth renting out to business' often don't get used. A lot of places do look post apocalyptic like you said lmao, either way, glad you made the trip, got to see our little city tucked away on the coast and even got to see the islands, I haven't been to Haida Gwaii in years.
@KiraandtheSurvivalPod2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Once you pass Terrace, everything starts to look like it's out of the movie Avatar. It's so beautiful. I couldn't believe it. Even though the town of Prince Rupert is a bit outdated, it doesn't matter because the surrounding nature is what really makes it count. I heard the community is very good as well. I loved it :)

Each episode is a treat and a gift... thank you for sharing your vanlife and making these fantastic videos.
