❤A❤ GIANT❤ 😮 ❤THANKYOU❤ I just want to say a big thankyou to the talented authors, narrators and uploaders of these apocalyptic stories so generously provided to us (the masses) free of charge! The opportunity to access a variety of 'fictional' apocalypse adventures at no cost in a world where the cost of living continues to soar out of control is a real treat! With the cost of living continuously rising as the richer more powerful fat cat service providers squeeze the poorer amongst us for even more money its refreshing to come across talented professional people prepaired to share thier hard work with the public completly free of charge. So once again a big thankyou to the talented authors, narrators and uploaders for your generosity. Please ignore the ignorant and ungrateful negative comments left by disillusioned 'would be authors' who evidently think they could write these stories better than the actual authors! These people need to get real, apocalypse aventures (that have not actually occured and hopefully wont) are merely fictional/fantasy so stop with your pointless negative critiques and just enjoy these stories for what they are.... an opportunity to escape the reality of life for a short time and at no cost to the listener at all. Leisure time is precious so the sensible thing for those leaving such negative comments would be to go elsewhere and pay for audiobooks they will find more suitable to them also making the most out of thier own leisure time!

Babying that 12 yr old to the truth is why many won't survive. Pioneer kids weren't coddled... adults need to get a backbone in reality not denial She talks about her little sister like she's the caretaker of a ward not family
@movieloverfan188 күн бұрын
Sometimes the story doesn’t make sense. She came down to her grandfather’s farm because a mare was getting ready to foal. She had to take her stepsister with her because she couldn’t even wait until the next morning because she had to be there when the mare foaled . But then the next day she decided to go with the guy from next door when he didn’t need her with him to check on everyone in the area. When that would take all day and the mare still hadn’t foaled. And when this guy says to her that she doesn’t need to worry as everyone around cares for each other, she doesn’t mention that someone stole a chicken early that very morning.

@kimireneanderson964510 күн бұрын
She was kinda raised in a bubble. I'm at the 2 hour mark where her grandfather is trying to clue her in, but it's true she's caught up in the normalcy bias trap. I hope her "little sister" can see beyond, but her bubble world is even tighter than that of Aria's.

Why, such a light-duty vehicle, and most likely only with a 350 engine, and raising it up with all that extra weight only makes it top heavy. I owned 1970 chevys and they might look cool, but barely pulled themselves. And was it a 4x4? Manual or automatic? It all makes a difference. 😅
@melissabonnette968710 күн бұрын
There are too many repeat thoughts and sentences and obvious ignorance of the military as well as the human condition and thought processes. The writer could be good. I give kudos for actually doing the thing.
@palominogirl273210 күн бұрын
I agree. Trying to stick with it, although I'm very tired of her repeated internal thoughts. Also, initially I was excited that a vet was a main character, but then, we apparently skipped right over foaling (and was it the neighbor's horse, or the grandfather's - someone didn't keep that straight), and no vet would continually say, 'baby horse' or that is 'being born'. It's a foal, and it comes about through foaling.
@brotherhorse110 күн бұрын
@@palominogirl2732 Meh, vet tech here.. I say those things, it doesn't actually matter. Easier relating to new owners too. I also renamed many of the implements because I think it's funny. Also I hate annoying horsy terminology, but everyone wants to feel special.

I couldn't figure out why this didn't flow well, and then I realize that some of these writers tell the story from a character perspective as they are the character & this story bounces between that & written about the character, as if they're reading the story that somebody else wrote... lastly, none of these stories flow well when it's all the emotional turmoil in the character's head leaving the reader to bounce between the story & the emotional drama of the character... Lastly, it's like a broken record over and over again by the different characters. "but I'm worried about Laura..." Gave it my best effort to listen to this one but when Melanie shows up in a very short period time from the event, after managing with no skills to cross from California across the continental divide & the great Mississippi without any transportation all the way to the east coast 3,000 miles, I was done...

Going to give it a couple more hours, only because I've listened to damn near everything non- alien and non-zombie. Not impressed at all thus far. ~ repetition, not reputation. Damn AI !!! ~ Tapped the '...more ' beneath the title page, taken to the ' description ' page. So far, nothing in the story is like the description outlines. This story seems to have been written for those with a very elementary stimulus level (that's trying to play nice).

This is the most repetitive nonsense! How many times do we need to hear that she wants to spend time with her sister, that she's worried about her father and step mother, that she's worried about leaving her sister with her grandfather, that she wants to keep people safe, that she's worried about this, that, and the other. Once or twice, sure. But twenty times in a page!??! No, thanks. Bye.
