Good on her for making a life for herself that, while it may not be easy, is what she enjoys. The van is a neat rig - that style of Dodge always reminds me of the Red Green Show Possum Van. Also, knowing that she gets shit from some people who don’t know how to leave others to live their lives as they want, she still went ahead with an honest and open interview. So kudos to her for that and thanks for the reminder to just deal with crap as it happens instead of worrying about it all the time. I think a lot of us do that. I do. Couple of tips; you can get heat reflecting paint from Home Depot that will help if you put it on the roof. I know white will mess with the look but up top it might not be noticeable and help reflect the sun. Also look at Canadian Tire’s breakdown cover - it’s a good deal and tow ins to a CT for repair don’t count as part of your allowance. Worth a look at renewal time or you might even be able to have alongside your BCAA if you have a lot of breakdowns. Just a thought. All the best. 👍🏻

1979 was a great year and this is a great van. 👍 As long as you can get parts for it, don’t worry about it’s age. Your van will be one of the few to survive an emp event, and keep you on the road. Keep enjoying the freedom to travel.

This van is awesome! Like you said, its yours. Not many individuals, ecspecially single woman are home owners these days. Its a very difficult thing to accomplish. You are so creative, ecspecially with building things. Those are important skills that so few people have. Keep following your bliss Mad Max🤘

hmmm.... and some people realize that travelling is wasteful and selfish and that humans should be growing as much of their own food. and people should be homesteading instead of thinking they have a right to pollute the world driving around, relying on others to grow their food and everything they need.... Her mindset is very young. You can tell she is trying to prove something with all of her 'glam'. There is nothing post-apocalyptic about this. She has no way of providing food and water for herself if anything really did happen. She would be at the mercy of others because she thinks that staying in one place is being 'stuck'. I hope she works on her health as much as she does her 'look'.

Humans do not all have to be the same. Her carbon footprint living and traveling in a van is a fraction of what the average “normal” persons is. Homesteading is cool, but 99% of the population is not doing that, so to use that as an attack on this person and their lifestyle is bs.

Maybe you misunderstood? It is just an ‘apocalyptic style’ - it’s right there in the title of the video. I don’t think she has built it to survive the end of the world - just going for a Mad Max theme to her rig. It’s her thing in life at the moment - she’s entitled to go with it. As is everyone with theirs. As long as it’s not tearing other people down. All the best to you with yours, too. 👍🏻

Thanks for your comment. I dont think I misunderstood though. We are literally at the apocalypse, so it is a very literal word. She is entitled to do as she wishes, indeed. And I wouldn't have commented if she hadn't started tearing people down that dont travel and who stay in one place. That's where I had to step in and say something. @@MapleMarmite
