I like that nothing permanently affixed design - it's really clever. And the curved cuts on the bed are done very well.

Thank you so much for your honesty. I will not say I suffer anxiety but I do my best to live with it. I used to think of anxiety ad a personal failure. It is just a fact of my life, not a whole lot different than a physical disability in that human beings cannot exist without both body and brain. I live in a van for the same/very similar reasons you state. Vanlife has truly been a blessing. I have a larger van. I enjoy the size but may downsize for no other reason than economics.

The one we have is the exact same layout! Other than the seat material/ door being leather, and you having fuel injection. This ones in much better shape though! Ours is still all wood grain 80s

So simple and cozy! Starting to think more and more about my priorities and values, and wasting money renting doesnt sound fun. Would love to do a build as a hobby and see if im comfy enough to travel

Don’t you have bugs in Australia? lol every time I see you aussies it’s a open air concept. If I didn’t have screens on every window and door, this Wisconsinite would die of blood loss before morning just from mosquitoes

Great camper. Only missing ingredient is a portable wood heater with exhaust flue. Nevertheless, at $20,000 or so investment, a bargain compared to 1 bedroom apartment annual rent in Vancouver. Pays for itself in less than a year.

I read on Google that keeping water in vehicles can be dangerous. " As the temperature rises, any bacteria in the water can multiply faster, potentially reaching levels that can cause serious health problems."How do you keep your water safe?

You just need a bean bag chair and some indica! Nice job. Did you have the top added? I like the GM platform but the higher roof is kind of a must have. Well done. The Cedar must smell great.

I'm curious where he got a star quilt? Those are usually given away at native American funerals or sports events on the Rez or at powwows. And this random white guy has one? Just curious

I have a small suv and happened across van lifers bc I was searching about "homelessness" my son& his young family became homeless and had to live wherever they could (family, friends, motels, strangers& shelters, they didn't have a vehicle) the kids didn't get to experience high school 😢 . Anyway, i was surprised people were living in vehicles AND on purpose so I was intrigued? I bought some carcamping items and went out on my own (during a few vacation days), the first day was nice traveling but at night it didn't go so well, I couldn't find a place to sleep at (Walmarts, loves, and cracker barrel had no overnight signs) I panicked and saw a packed hotel lot and hid there. I almost gave up the whole idea. I did better on my next vacation time bc I reserved a spot at a campground and loved it. I really need a van to stand up in next time I might buy one for my birthday next year. I'm glad to see that my generation & up and really getting out there enjoying life.

You remind me of,,,,,me. I have been most fortunate to be able to work hard and play hard. I’m 74 now but when I was about your age I lived and traveled in a V.W. camper van. Some of the best times of my life. I am still traveling the world but now it’s mostly on cruise ships. I hope you have as great a life as I have. Jump out of that plane, scuba and other things while you’re young. Just because you get older doesn’t mean you’re not young if you know what I mean.
