this was a very clever story telling. leaving out the theater mades me actually torn whether to side on autobots or decepticon, even more so after seeing this post credit scene because i find both of them had a valid ideology and reason that causes them to separate. if you try to put your mindset on D16 he is actually not that villainy, he still want the best for Cybertron but more on a totalitarian way with clear authority and transparent orders without any kind of Deception from a "Special Chosen Only" people or group of people (obviously referring to the Prime here) and trusting them blindly.

D-16 became a fool by allowing himself to be blinded to the myth or cannon in his head: that his and Cybertron's enemy is Optimus Prime. Prime is not his enemy but the Quintessons are. This is such a sad case of 'not listening' and projection.

No. He and Prime had vastly different solutions for dealing with Sentinel Prime and his treachery that resulted in years of deception. Sentinel was supposed to be the savior of Cybertron, but he was in fact its worst villain. Optimus would have seen Sentinel reap justice for his crimes. Whereas, Megatron wanted vengeance.

@@marionhope7506from d16s perspective, Orion pax did not want him to suffer. Meaning that if they rebuilt cybertron, sentinel would in some way benefit from the elevated life he deprived everyone else of. That is not justice, not everyone is supposed to win. Some evildoers need to be severely punished. Megatron was always right in the beginning but eventually goes too far. Prime may be right in the end but it always at the cost of countless lives. That’s what I predict the theme of this movie series will be going forward.

The upside down symbol signifies the arrival of that event. Thus, an upside down Chinese character for "Fortune" means fortune is coming. So an upside down Decepticon insignia means "the arrival of the Decepticons". It's common for the Japanese to adopt some Chinese traditions so that might be why the upside look persist. So in Asian culture, it's not negative at all, rather it's adds another level of meaning.
