I inherited from my dad a vacuum I particularly like, the Ghibli AS5. My dad used it in his tiling job until he recently retired. It is small, very powerful but the best feature is it is very quiet for the amount of suction it produces. It lived over a decade in harsh construction environment, it is more then adequate serving as a car vacuum cleaner. Having had the recent Honda Jazz, a car this HR-V is based on, I can say drill brush works wonders for the carpet.

A few comments on interior tools I use are; ONR for lightly soiled interiors including glass, cone shaped drill brush (to agitate carpets) forced air (to blow out dirt & product) micro or mini shop vac. tools. Nice job Guru!

Yes the brush attachment doesn't get enough attention, I have one saved from a 1990s Dirt Devil and have an adapter on my cordless Bosch vacuum so it'll fit. I can use the same adapter with my circular saw and orbital sander, which is a nice bonus.

I always struggle with dried mud in carpets and should really invest in some carpet cleaner. Love a bit of interior soft brush work very relaxing to do. Already leather balms the seats which I do once a year. Love the videos keep up the good work. Lol the dingy! And I am certainly not an experienced crevice toolsman a meat apprentice. When my Gtechniq glass cleaner is done ill invest in that Glaico you recommend thanks for the tip.

It looks like the screens in this car have normal glass/plexi layers but it's worth being careful when using glass cleaners on screens in cars. Some of them have anti-reflective coatings and most glass cleaners will strip it off. Same thing happens when people clean monitors and TVs with normal glass cleaner. Great video again though! I admire the crevis tool dedication.

First off; what a bunch of dirty buggers leaving their nan's car like this! The easiest way to distinguish real leather from fake, put your hand on it and hold it. If you start to feel your hand sweating almost straight away, it's plastic. Leather breathes, as it comes off a real animal. Another great video that's relaxing to watch and informative. Stonking heat? What, 25 degrees? Sorry, as an Australian I had to get that shot in!

Excellent video, Joe, though should come with a trigger warning. Brought back memories of beach holidays in the UK in the 70s. Making sand castles, bingo, and those crap arcades where you inserted 2p coins a la Tipping Point. Will add Pimp My Hide to the list of items to buy and try.

As a kid I didn't realise that my parents had to actually clean the sand out of the car when we came of a North Wales beach. The 1970's vinyl seats did burn our legs though when we got in the Nissan/Datsun estate in swiming trunks 🥵

Would that Dodo Juice work on dog drool? I have a Toyota with the Softex leather-like material. On the door panels, I've tried Simple Green and a Maguiers product to get the drool off, but neither could clean it completely.
@CarCleaningGuru
@CarCleaningGuru Жыл бұрын
It’s quite strong but if you’ve tried an all purpose cleaner already with no luck I wouldn’t get too excited as maybe the enzymes in the drool have stained/etched the protective coating on the leather much like how bird poo does on paintwork lacquer 🤔
@HuskyMike
@HuskyMike Жыл бұрын
@@CarCleaningGuru Thanks for the reply. I also wondered if it etched into the material as you describe. I haven't tried scrubbing it with a brush like in your videos, though, so I'll try that first.

This just in, local beach declares sand shortage. If you think the boot carpet quality is poor on the HR-V, you should check out the paint. I reckon Honda engineers spent more time calculating the absolute minimum amount they could use to cover the car than they did actually applying it. Still the best car I've ever owned, though!

Those Japanese carpets are horrific. My old MX-5 was exactly the same, you'd really have to keep on top of the dirt or it would be ingrained in the fibres forever. The Germans do that so much better, my Passat and Boxster carpets are lovely and keep clean really easily with a quick vacuum.
