We did the gas lines in the 70's - if you tag ended in an even number you went to the gas station on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday - numbers ending in odd number went the other days. Thank goodness I didn't have to do it, there were cars lined up past the our business driveway everyday waiting for the gas station to open. We survived, grumpy but alive :)

Evening Lester. Glad all good at LHL and the clean up of limbs went well. So sweet for Bri and Laramie to stay and Karter and Kash. Also Lex and Connor. Nice all went and stayed with Uncle Lester. We have always had a house full from time to time. It's fun to have around when they need a place for a while. Nepphews nieces , step kids since they all came to us leaving there homes. It was great. Lex is doing a great job throwing the braches over the fences for the animals to munch on. The pastures are looking greener. An absolutely beautiful 😍 day for cleanup at LHL. Lex did a wonderful job getting all of the bigger limbs picked up. I'm surprised that he didn't put a few in for the Wacky Little's, because I have a feeling that they would've gone to town on them. I too like to host some family and friends when I can. Good afternoon Lester. Thankful for the help that you are giving the family from Morrow Hill who requires it, either staying at the LHL or helping with clean up the properties but it has been interesting. LHL will get there sooner than later just need your patience kind sir. The pond and sod side looks like that is becoming very green. The goat side will take a bit more time as the soil was different than other. Now if you talk about the erosion on the river side of property that is totally different story. The lineups for gas and groceries I can imagine is way different, more difficult in Houston and other cities that have been severely impacted by Beryl. The Cajun Rescue Men the ones that helped during Harvey lots were asking for people to volunteer as they were headed to Houston with water, gasoline, and other supplies from LA haven't seen any updates on them as yet. Loved the work they did during Harvey. Thanks for sharing. Keep your chin and spirits up we are here cheering you on. HAGD.

When we moved out to the lake of the Ozarks and off the dirt road but we were on the lakefront property I didn’t want to worry about my electricity going out because our house was 100% electric home. First thing I did was put in the Generac whole house generator not as big as yours but I wanted something big enough dick I wouldn’t even know I was using a generator. It had to run the AC, refrigerator, washer dryer, stove, oven if I had them all on at the same time. Ours ran on gas the kind that would come to your stove if you had a gas stove. We were lucky because they had run a gas line down our dirt road but nobody since the house was built had ever wanted gas run to the house and you’re allowed to ask once. So since we were doing this we had to run the gas line from the dirt road to our generator so we didn’t have to worry about anything. The bonus was as we had a big gas grill and I just paid electrician to run the gas line below the house straight to the gas grill and you never had to fill tanks again. In five years I think we probably used it maybe eight or 10 times because electricity went out anywhere from you know 24 hours to 4 minutes. It tested for five minutes every Friday night at midnight and we just never had to worry about anything and it was the best money I ever spent.

Best part of having a barbecuer is that you can cook alot of foods on them without fuel. Ive made a outdoor cooker out of an old metal coffee can and foil once when i had no power couldnt cook much but it did work
