Microneedling is a great treatment for our Bay Area patients because it is effective at treating all skin types. We notice that many of our patients are looking to treat acne scars, texture, and enlarged pores, which makes microneedling a great option across the board.
Microneedling works by creating micro channels in the skin that induce collagen production by controlled injury to the skin. We have the option to add platelet rich plasma (PRP) to the treatment for more effective results. Patients see dramatic improvement in their skin even just after one session.
We typically recommend doing this treatment in a series of three for optimal results. Even if you don't have skin correction concerns, microneedling is great for boosting collagen and helping your skin glow.

We recommend that you do not put anything on your face for a minimum of 4 hours. As far as washing your face we recommend the ZO Gentle Cleanser for night time use as it is not harsh on the open channels in the skin.

You can shower right after, except for don’t touch your face and just have it on warm temperature and just let the water hit your face to get all of your serums off if it’s uncomfortable. Just do not put anything like face wash on your face or touch your face in the shower

It would be best to ask your provider directly. Unfortunately, we do not give detailed advise over KZbin. We tell our patients to put nothing on their face for at least 4 hours post treatment.
