She was appointed to do that. How can you be on the Risk and Oversight Committee and then be CEO and not know about the very high risk division in your company? It does not stand up to scrutiny. Any ignorance is WILFUL. I can accept “protecting the company” from, say, bad PR or losses and even when wrong no prison is tolerable. “Protecting the company” is not an excuse when miscarriages of justice happened. When cover ups happened. Avoidance of prison is unacceptable.

Because only a business can be charged with it. However, the HSWA implications could be used to create a gross negligence charge foundation for mainstream manslaughter or, indeed, murder, if it can be shown that the degree of recklessness amounted to criminal intent to destroy life. Motive: protection of the Post Office's reputation. Means: destitution of a person psychologically orientated towards security, destroying their persona and with it, their self-respect and will to live. Opportunity: the criminally corrupt Horizon system, backed by remorseless and highly inequitable judicial system, amounting to POL acting as judge and jury, if not executioner, in its own cause.

@@robertwright7937 The point is, you were wrong. You genuinely believed lizards have tear ducts. Consider yourself now educated. Take it on the chin mate. Learn from it. Don't get defensive. At the end of the day you were wrong. If you had an ounce of intelligence you would have realised or at least considered that lizards would have tear ducts...they have eyes just as you do, and quite similar eyes in the way they work. So it says a lot about your level of intelligence if this obvious fact didn't cross your mind. But it didn't even remotely cross your mind and that led to a stupid post.

OK - so where has all the money gone? Whose pocket has it 'dropped into'?
@deang56226 ай бұрын
It has gone into Post Office Counters Ltd. The sub postmasters were made to pay the monetary short falls. That over payment, payment which should not have been made, was paid to POL.

Crying because you've been caught, not because you are sorry is just disgusting. Lock her up, strip her of her pension.

'sorry' - is what you say when you inadvertently cause harm.

This also begs the question as to where Fujitsu had the majority of coding of Horizon done. Some Contractors, to save money, have coding done offshore in places such as India.

This is an incitement of British "management" and the sort of people who occupy these positions ...... THE QUALITY OF MANAGEMENT IS APPALLING :( It reflects on the whole rotten governance of this country !

WORD SALAD, WORD SALAD, WORD SALAD ... lessons learnt, apologies offered, pittance compensation, moving forward, blah, blah, blah. If she was a normal caring person, the enormity of what was going on would have kicked in/started to dawn on her that there was a massive IT problem with Horizon's system. How else could so many postmasters be wrong? Huge alarm bells should have been ringing but the arrogance and narcissism can't be over ridden in someone like this until lives destroyed, years pass by & millions spent to call/catch them out. Same with the blood scandal. Same with Hillsborough. Same with Lucy Letby. Same with Jimmy Saville & his ilk. And so it goes on.

Add in the faked up justification for the Iraq War over non-existent weapons of mass destruction.....as you say,the list is very long indeed.
