I'm not moving my defenders, yet they keep backing off along with the attacking player, just watching without intervening as the attacker moves forward. What's the solution for this? My players don't track back, and when I play a 4-4-2 formation, I have to manually bring each midfielder back, which is often too late. Saying "don’t move your defenders" is easy, but my players act as if they've come to watch the match instead of play.

Okay so here's the thing. the general midfield track back on 442 is a bit slow, so they are the one you should prioritize bringing back. and when im talking about defenders, im not suggesting that you shouldn't move them. just Don't drag them "out of position"

Lets be honest. Connecties is everything. One week i cant lose and the next i cant win. Even playing agressieve, your team does nothing. But the opponent can press like crazy, win every duel. If your a elite player you can overcome these odds. If youre not that good than the game screws you over.

nothing but FACTS. connection is literally "everything" in this game. but lemme tell you something as an elite div player, in previous FIFAs i used to be able to beat those odds. but on FC25 when you're experiencing a heavier gameplay than your opponent 9 times out of 10 it's goodnight.

It's like in every game it connects you to different server. If you are lucky then your players are responsive, you can play prime barca tiki taka football and score great goals. If you are unlucky though, nothing works - no AI attacking movement whatsoever. Your tackles are always late and your opponent gliding through your defence like prime Messi. It's the same in squad battles where you play against computer AI so connectiong should be the same every time, but somehow I can win 5-0 on legendary difficulty at Tuesday night, just to loose to World class next day at 14.00 (peak time). Shocking

@prezz9441 I've been saying this and people have called me crazy. but somehow squad battles gameplay is almost as inconsistent as online matches. IT MAKES NO SENSE!

Contain is soo good after possession loss tho, specially near the opponents box

contain on a press is amazing, many people have this habit of never letting go of the contain button on every defensive scenario, i'm also sometime guilty of doing this and around your own box it often does more damage than good tbh.
