Hey quick question, why use the vca faders when you already have the submasters?

VCA faders allow you to group multiple channels and adjust the outputs of not only all those channels faders, but their sends as well, whilst keeping all the audio levels relative. So if you are have reverb sends on a track and you use volume adjustments the "sent" amount stays the same which means more reverb. VS if you use a VCA fader it will also lower the voltage of the track and adjust the send amount as well.

That is interesting, how you are able to imitate a ton with plugins. Do you ever record in a professional Foley studio?

Yes we do from time to time, but sometimes the budget or timeframe just dose not call for it, so having tools like this really helps.
