First shot was back right and high right by the hind just below his spine. Bull couldn’t really go anywhere after that... Nice Bull

Extremely Nice Bull, but the wind didn't even seem to be blowing and moving any trees. Best get that rifle sighted in for zero ! It would have been tragic with that Bull getting away after the long wait.....

Hey Josh, with Elk we are firm believers that you shoot until they drop completely.

As proponents of "Fair Chase" hunting, I wish you or some other leading hunting organization would do a symposium on what constitutes "Fair Chase." That shot was almost a 1/4 mile away and I know you have had other videos with farther shots. I am in the camp that does not think that constitutes "Fair Chase." I'm not sure the Boone and Crockett definition would fall into that category either. Are you saying that your hunting skills are not good enough to get closer than 1/4 mile away? I am 65 years old and have been hunting since I was 12. Longest shot ever was just over 200 yards. I have been bowhunting almost exclusively for the last 30 years. I hope some day Eastman's will do a lengthy video discussing the "Fair Chase" values and ethics. Simply because we have the increased technology to shoot ELR, doesn't mean that is good hunting - certainly not 'Fair Chase.' It was hard for me to tell from the video, but it looked like that bull had positioned himself in a good defensive place with that opening so he could he see across the meadow. No other predator can attack from 1/4 mile+ away! Of course he had no idea you were there - you were a quarter mile away. I have a couple of nice elk racks (330+) hanging on my wall - all shot 40 yds and under! To me, that is fair chase!! Thank you for your patience with my lengthy comment. By the way I am a long time subscriber to Eastman's Bowhunting & occasionally Hunting magazines, so this is not intended to be a 'hate' comment.

Yet another private land hunt...... basically fish in a barrel. Perfect broadside shot opportunity and you shot him in the ass..... randy newberg is a better hunter than all of these guys combined!
