Thank you, everyone!!! My cell phone's internet is only working here and there. It's slower than a dial-up when it is working. We've and appreciate all of you. I can't answer comments because it takes up to an hour or more to load.

I've been through 30 years of hurricanes. Was once without power for 3 weeks. The wait seems endless. I didn't have birdies, but I had a dog at the time. We took a lot of walks and read a lot of books. I'm happy y'all are ok after the storm. If you have a roof over your head and everyone is accounted for, then you are fortunate. Maybe Buster doesn't think so right now, but he'll pull thru with Dad's help. 😍

Grateful you're all ok! Good to have a generator. Even in a desert city where we have no hurricanes, tornados, etc. I have one. 2 wks after buying it a thunderstorm knocked power out for over 5 hrs. Hope you get your power back soon and vehicle taken care of.❤🙏

Take care, wishing you all the very best. It's so much harder with animals. Working full time with the extreme ranges my 4 distinct seasons has lead to some hairy moments too. Luckily I managed to always have understanding bosses that let me scoot home to take care of any situation. I get how having a scared animal makes that even MORE difficult on top of that. I have the same range as you, pretty much anything can happen and very little response to one will freak out over a fly and one in the middle of the 2 extremes. Actually just had a weird sudden thunderstorm finish as I type this and I'm way up in Canada. Started and stopped like someone flipped a light switch. Big lightening, hard rain, bit of hail in less than half hour then gone.

Pretty hard to fake the 'everything is normal' in that situation. Percy singing and Earl being unaffected is the best thing for Buster from my experience. Hope your extended family is all ok.

Hi! I don’t know which state you’re located in, but maybe NC? I can really relate to what you’re going through as I live in coastal southwest Florida. We were hit extremely hard two years ago. No water, internet or power for nearly 2 weeks. So yes, people should appreciate the linemen. They leave their homes and families to wait nearby where they believe a storm will hit. Then they work their butts off to restore power. When they came to our neighborhood, the entire bunch of us ran out to where their trucks were to tell them thank you and bless you! I’m so sorry you are dealing with this as I shudder thinking about what it’s been like for you. We had so many boats around us, one in our yard and there were many that had landed on the median of our street. We used pool water to flush the toilet, as the pool was unscathed. The first time I heard thunder about a month or two after hurricane Ian hit, it was PTSD for my neighbors and myself. We all went into a panic God Bless you for keeping yourselves and your furry and feathered friends safe!

@@Tinytreasure_1969 One of my daughters got power restored today. The other is out of town. We have a generator, so we can keep our food safe. We can charge our phones in our husband's truck. Our biggest needs are gasoline and food/supplies. In our area, this is COVID-19 March 2020 times 10.
