Wow, 8 hours of walking is a lot! Maybe you could participate in a walking ultra endurance challenge one day :)

I’m surprised your running so fast in your repeats. I thought your MP was slower. Be careful

4:30 min/km is a conservative estimate to be honest. It's probably more like 4:25 at the moment. But considering a "normal" marathon pace workout would be something like 5 x 3K or a 10 - 20K tempo run, 2x1K is a very light workout, so yes I am doing my best to be careful. Thanks for the reminder though :)

If you experience low mood during dark winter days, have you ever considered buying a therapy light? I have spent this winter in a place that has had a number of overcast days, on which I feel like I have less energy. I bought an affordable therapy light sold by a company called Verilux, and I think it has been helping me. Might be worth checking out if you experience low mood and energy changes related to the dark winter season, and cannot travel to warm, sunny places right now because of the pandemic. Anyway, spring is on its way! :-)

Thanks! I do have a therapy light and have been using it for years. I never found it very effective to be honest, but it might contribute a bit. Perhaps I didn't use it close enough or perhaps it was not the optimal strength. Not sure. I did however notice a big change when I started using melatonin at night, which improved my sleep quality which I think was the main reason for my winter issues due to lack of sunshine. The light was never able to fix this issue for me. This winter I've been lax about the therapy light but I still use it almost daily but in a casual way. Thanks for chiming in! And yes - it's finally spring now!

The headlight is just for show, right?
@LoneEndurance4 жыл бұрын
No it's actually difficult to see every little detail of the ground when it's not complete daylight, and in these slippery/icy conditions one wrong step could mean a small injury. Also, when crossing the road etc it's a good idea in order to be seen.

My sister rode a horse, using headlight, and spooked the horse with the spotlight moving around in front and to the sides. LOL!
