I will say the main reasons running with scissors hasn't gone downhill like the majority of game companies that have been around for 20+ years is because they have always been a very small group of devs and vince desi who founded it is still running it and mike j being his right hand man since the company started

I played postal 2 day one when I was 6 and I sent rws a email telling them it was the greatest game ever because it was violent, dude had great lines, it's gross, and you can pee on every thing and everyone and I got a response thanking me for enjoying it and they were glad I thought it was so amazing

If you havent gotten them all yet good luck on the pacifist runs it took me over a month just to get through that run because i couldnt stop myself from killing people and having to reload or accidentally killing someone and going through to the next area before noticing in the stats and having to start over

Its crazy how this game was "highly offensive and brutal" back in the days.....and now we can play gta 5's torture mission without any problems lol God of War 3 is another example, Postal 2 released 2003, GoW3 2010....7 years later and its no problem to chop of legs (hermes), ripping out heads (helios) or watch a brutal beating out of the victims eyes (poseidon) (at the end you literaly need to interact with your controller to do all these things).....all that with wayyy beter graphics and interaction Shows how deep the stick was shoved up in poloticians ass back in the days and how easy they made it for themselves to blame mass shootings and other violent stuff...."videogames made them do it, they are a problem" sure sure

I started replaying that old classic recently and I have NOT experienced most of the bugs you mentioned. I have ~12 hour of game time. Had a couple of crashes and 3-4 visual glitches tops. Get it from Steam, it's certainly is not as buggy as it is portrayed here or maybe I'm just lucky. Also with regards to all women being hot, this is false. There are many short fat women in the game. Anyway, good review, love this game!

Got the GoG version. Complete edition all 7 days etc. i7 9000 something laptop CPU. (6 cores) NVIDIA 1650TI at 1440p. Yea performance is going 60, 144, 300, 55, 120, 70 fps etc etc. But that is more or less max settings. And really did not find many bug in the 7 days. The NPC's sometimes get stuck walking into someone standing still. The autograph dude (the short one) had broken walking animation the first time I played. And I had ONE crash when going into a loading screen switching weapons at the same time. Like yea there are flawed programming and easy to get out of bounds. But it was not really buggy. Renumber this game came out around the time of GTA ViceCity! Gta 3 and VC was some of the best ever crafted games and still where flawed. So unless patches are the reasons for not having problems I can not blame the game for being buggy when GTA Definitive edition exist.

wheni was a kid, gta 1-2, and postal were EXTREMELY popular. postal later did some 3d stuff, and people lost the interest...than gta did the same, and became most famous game of all time....wonder who was first :) anyways, postal 1 is still one of the best games of that birds eye view genre.

I found that the frame rate drops are often somehow connected to using the new weapons that were added much later (Glock, mp-5, sawed off). If you stick to the original game arsenal you should be mostly fine. Also, the new weapons are way too op and kinda ruin the difficulty so I tend to avoid them anyway.

Great video for the most part but it’s hilarious that you’re playing the game in 1080p - 4k and you you brought up the graphics, this game was released before high definition when everything you could play was terribly pixelated and a lot of these imperfections could be overlooked much easier 😂

Cool, GOG generously gave the two Postals for free. I would bet you liked Postal 1 or it's equal to Postal 2? I wonder if the live-action videogame movies by german director Uwe Boll are good? He made Postal, House of the Dead, Bloodrayne and Far Cry. You can walk on the power line with some effort (I only got to play the Demo more than a decade ago but in God's time, I now have it, thanks again to GOG). God bless.

All the extra crap they added after the game was released made the game kinda crappy. I don't mean the Apocalypse Weekend Addon, but all the stuff they added after. It just feels like mod content rather than actually part of the game itself. The hats, smoking npc's mod weapons, changing the muzzle flashes, extra character animations, and all the extra bugs that seemed to come with the post steam stuff.
