Kansas absolutely helped us out. No one expected them to mash BYU and Colorado two weeks in a row. they were 4-5 two weeks ago and people laughed at them. Just getting into the CFP is a huge boost to the program's future in this new era SEC.

They really didn't. The big12 champion is still gonna get in, whether it's AZ state or Kansas state. The teams losing ahead of tennessee really helped us. Alabama, ole miss, indiana... they all got us off that back end.

Buckeye fan here. Wasn't there talk about Florida replacing their coach with the Ole Miss coach? Stuff like that makes a difference in the minds of young men. They wanted to defend their coach.

One of the funnier things is right before the 7:30 slot came around, I was chatting to my dad and I distinctly recall saying “yeah I’m probably gunna watch the Auburn A&M game tonight. The only other real option will be bama Oklahoma but I’m pretty sure that’ll be a splattering. It really was a great day for Tennessee all around. We got lots of help. One of the only things that could've made the day even better was if freaking Penn St would've lost. Minnesota honestly looked pretty good and I thought they should've won the game. Other than that stellar day for TN. I'm just curious to see the new rankings...both the AP and the playoff rankings. I'm just curious where Tennessee is gonna land and how far Indiana will drop. IMO Indiana shouldn't be ahead of Tennessee in either poll.

If Texas A&M beats Texas, you would have to look at it as a four-way tie. Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and Texas A&M would all have two conference losses. Head to heads, don’t matter and that’s scenario because they didn’t all play each other. They don’t all four share a common opponent so that’s out. The third tiebreaker is record against top teams in the conference, which is essentially just a more specific version of common opponent so that’s out. The fourth tie breaker would be what determines who ends up in Atlanta cumulative record of conference opponents. take the total win loss record in conference for every SEC opponent on your schedule and their winning percentage is the number that you want. Georgia would be at the top follow at Texas A&M, Texas, and then Tennessee. Georgia would play Texas A&M if they beat Texas.

UGA has the clinch now, they hold the Head to head tie breaker lead over Tx and Tn, and the others over TAMU, Tennessee needed Miss St, and Kentucky to win yesterday to have tie breaker lead over the other two. Tennessee is behind both the Tx teams in tie breakers. Unfortunately… no SEC championship.

I'm just going to say right off the bat these super conferences are killing college football. We did not need Texas nor did we need Oklahoma in our conference let alone Texas A&M Missouri Arkansas you know the old Southwest Conference becoming the SEC conference. Our conference would have been better if we had left it just as it was Texas and all those other teams could have been the Southwest Conference Big Ten would have been the Big Ten and it would have been more intriguing who's going to play who during these playoffs now all it is is the superconference eats their own and the best teams do not get in the playoffs

In a CBS sports video I saw yesterday titled "Week 13 College Football Playoff Rankings Revealed", Dan Crawford (whoever that is) was talking about whether Indiana could be in the playoff picture even with an 11 and 1 record. He said "this is a record setting season, I think the committee is sort of taking that into consideration". Is it just me or does that sound insane? Sounds like he's saying that a team who is doing well after years of not doing well could get some extra consideration from the playoff committee. I wonder what else he thinks the committee might be taking into consideration?
