Vince Lombardi famously said that “football is a very simple game based upon blocking and tackling”! The team that emphasizes the fundamentals usually win football games! That’s why Kansas won the game. Colorado can’t tackle, they can’t run block, and rely too much on the passing game, without any run/pass balance to keep defenses off balance!

@berylallen7800 I have said this about Deion at Jackson State. Upon Shaddeur being drafted, Colorado will run the ball. We lost two championship games at JSU..Why? He allowed Shaddeur to throw the ball over 50 times. Running the ball keeps the clock ticking.

It wasn’t all on the defense. They were gased. Kansas TOP was 40:00 to Colorados 19. They’d drive the field. Then the offense goes gets a first down and then 3 and out. Being tired and throwing all those shifts and motions all in the same play makes it very difficult to stop. You have to run the ball to slow the game down and give the defense a chance to get themselves together. Good gameplan by Kansas

@kadariousdaniels6160 How come Kansas have 4 to 6 loses? Teams get it up for Deion and Colorado. If I were an A.D., I would ask my coach how come the team is not motivated to defeat the other teams? Nebraska? Kansas State? Alabama scored 3 points at Oklahoma...go figure. Prior to, Alabama was averaging 40 points a game, during 3 to 4 game winning streak.

To be honest kansas and kansas state may be the only complete teams Colorado played this year those other teams honestly sucked. I still reapect the record but man this year wasn't as tuff as buff fans may act like it was, truthfully those teams weren't as talented as colorado and always lacked on one side of the ball which colorado took advantage of being the more talented team but we see now what happens when colorado plays a complete team. On another note im glad they didn't kick shilo out for that targeting play bc i was rooting for kansas i know the defense would've turned up if shilo went out so keeping shilo in the game was a blessing in disguise for kansas

Neal #4 had a career performance. He and KU’s offense showed up. CU’s defense did not. But who in the preseason had CU tied for first place in the conference at 6-2 (8-3 overall) with just one game remaining?

I’ve been rooting for Colorado since prime go there but man, Kansas put the skids on that fright train and party.. congrats to KS. I’ve enjoyed the ride with Colorado, but KS deserves to be top of Big12 beating 3 top 25 teams in their conference. Hate off and big clap to KS

Our LBs can not pass cover.I mean we had walker, a pass rusher, playing middle LB and getting cooked. Thats why we have the extra DB on the field and we missed preston hodge ability to run tackle. Our front seven plus the safeties are all downhill players/tacklers, not sideline to sideline lateral players. So when we play a RB/QB who's shifty with great balance, if we don't meet them in the backfield, we always struggle with tackling.

All agreed! Love the buffs when I was there and most of the career they have not be a great team. Today they did not show up I thought they had a chance but as they showed they could take the big 12 but not take the ncaa football championship. If people don’t think Colorado wasn’t ready for this game, they seen that they just beat Iowa State and BYU their playing this game at arrowhead Stadium. They were ready. They just couldn’t stop the run just like last year and that might’ve exposed them. I’m sure Oklahoma State‘s gonna run the ball just as much next week.

Party ruined by the refs. Travis was wrapped up by the Kansas receiver. No call. Colorado punted. That was important. #14 with 6 minutes to go, dropped and important td. #14 did not squeeze the td drom Shaddeur. Shaddeur was outstanding.

The Refs didn't run for almost 300 yards. Neal did. The Buffs didn't decide to start playing ball until the 2nd quarter. Buffs got beat by a better team head to head. No shame in that. This was a bad match-up for Colorado. Colorado got bullied today. It happens.

Really good teams will get that ball back for there offense when needed. Really good teams can overcome adversity from the refs. Really good teams don’t give up 200 plus yards on the ground to their RB1 and 4 tds. CU got outplayed plain and simple. We’ve played great this season but lack of size and difference makers in the trenches was always going to be the deciding factor of if this team would be a real playoff team and it reared its ugly head today. Kansas came saw and conquered respect to them they balled out 💯

@HartofSports I here ya. However, the penalty would have resulted in into running the clock. Colorado may or may not have scored or at least a field goal. Critical time would have been taken from the clock. Therefore, because the ref "chose" not to call interence., Colorado would not have had to punt. The 1st place was critical.

@ Trust me I sat and watched every play end to end and I thought it was a clear pass interference to. But I’m not one to blame the game on one call. I’m sure there was another dozen calls that could have been made for either side that wasn’t. At the end of the day players play and ballers ball and today Devin Neal and the Kansas Jayhawks came to play. Hats 🎩 off to them boyz
