He's gonna be a top 5 QB next year if that O-line is solid if they look the same as last year hes gonna struggle because he not the same thrower of the ball as shedure (not to say he's bad) his strengths are just completely different

Buffs fan here; This guy is way over hyped! Hasn’t done anything special. Most of his losses were against the worst competition. Has only had 30 TDs twice in 4 yrs! The freshman will be the starter at CU!

If Marshall Faulk come to CU Brandon Hood would be the starter. He just as good as a reciever as a runner. Plus Faulk can fall back in that Sapp role while coach Tommy Robinson and Pat Shumar design the run and pass scheme

To answer the question about why the 5430 Collective is being discontinued it’s because of the impending rulings by Congress concerning NIL and paying players. Instead of funding going through Collectives funding and contributions will go directly through Athletic Departments that will have to pay athletes directly. It also has to deal with the accounting involved with rules for paying the players through Athletic Departments. More schools are hiring General Managers to handle NIL and payments to players. Stanford has Andrew Luck, UNC has Michael Lombardi and so on. Collectives are out Universities directly paying players and handling NIL is the new paradigm. The structure that is being set up is being done by Athletics Director s not the coaches who are now freed of having to keep up with player compensation. College football has become more like professional football with this model. Universities have more control and accountability over funds and contributions. As for the contract extension and raise I’ve been on record saying a 3-5 year extension to the current contract at $8 million/year with bonuses and incentives that if reached through performance, can add an additional $2 or 3 million. This is extremely fair and competitive. Coach Prime should sign this contract asap to assure players, recruits, parents, Rick George, that he intends to remain at Colorado. If he doesn’t intend to be at Colorado, Rick can begin looking for a suitable replacement! COLORADO LOVES CP, CP SAYS HE LOVES COLORADO. DO THE RIGHT THING!

Rick George is clueless when it comes to contracts and negotiations, he’s good at raising money which is why he’s still the AD. Prime is waiting for George to panic and will sign only if he gets what he wants.

If CP chooses to leave he not only has to pay an exit fee BUT HE ALSO LOSES ALL CREDIBILITY WITH THE PLAYERS, RECRUITS, TRANSFERS, OTHER COACHES, MEDIA…! Agreed on most points, however, the eight million base salary borders on insult. Compare what Coach Prime brings to the community and the school to what higher paid coaches bring to their schools. It is not even close. Starting point of 11.5 millions plus accomplishment bonuses and we are now giving the man what the market says its worth. By the way a two to three year extension is what he should sign with no more than a three million dollars buy out clause. Dallas is waiting.

Cu is going about it all the wrong ways. D-line s are not just built on by STARS and potential talent. It’s built with depth and through competition. Deion followers love hyping one or two players like Hudson…meanwhile big12 teams and the top SEC has their rosters filled with guys like him. Rotation and depth is what makes great lines Not a couple “high rated players”. CU has a lot of holes tk fill!!!

Regardless of what you think about Coach Prime, going from coaching Colorado Buffs to an NFL Team is a HUGE leap, especially since he has only been at Colorado for two seasons. I agree that the drama & the power dynamic will be a big issue, however Deion is smart, charismatic and can sell an identity to a team (as David mentioned). He would only leave Colorado for the right opportunity. In my opinion, it is in his best interest to stay at Colorado unless he somehow gets a NFL HC job at the team that drafts Shedeur.
