In another 5-10 games both of these teams will be a LOT better than they are now. Sky have 2 rookie starters, and one who didn't get to practice early on due to injuries. A few more games and practices and they will start to be in sync better and better. We have seen it in the Fever the last 3ish games as they are anticipating where their teammates will be a LOT better. With Angel and Kamilla in the paint a little bit more time will have them creating a LOT more opportunities for players like Marina to get open as well as for each other. Neither team will likely be #1 or 2 this year, but they will be a lot higher than they are right now with a great path to far better seasons next year.

With Angel on the court they're playing 4 on 5. Watch the Sky possessions and Angel in particular, she's just hiding trying to find a lane so she can go rebound, she's not really involved in the offense trying to get the ball in a meaningful way and the defense can sag off her a lot. She's also down there when drives happen so the lane is often jammed up. Kamilla is going to be great, I like her and Angel has her role, but when both of them are out there you can't really have shooting as 2/5 of the team by default can't shoot past 5 feet and in Angel's case she can't shoot at all.

She has been doing this for years, she has a mental defect. A very good player with respect to rebounding, poor shooter. She just seems to look for a chance to dig at someone during her games. I still remember her pulling Cardoso's hair, why?? She is a really bad shooter and just tries to plow into the basket area for a layup or a foul call, the refs are getting wise to her . Folks think claiming to be a so-called “coach” at a so-called “high level” makes them an expert; first prove it. Second coaching only really counts when you can take someone from zero to great; however, if the athlete is already great, and you just tweaked an already stellar game that does not make you a great coach. It makes you smart at picking who to parasitize. For example, Moratogalou, and Pat Riley had great players, so of course that made them “look” great. Let’s be clear, Serena put Moratogalou on the map, and not the other way round; he has not had a Serena level player before or since. She was already THE GOAT when he met her. If you coach Kobe of course you “look” like a great coach, but Kobe was great before he ever had a coach. If BB is just 3-pt buckets, then CC is epic, but it’s so much more, being a GREAT WNBA PLAYER is: being a team player, and having a teammate supportive personality, it’s not whining every 2 minutes of play, it’s DEFENSE, it’s razzle and dazzle, its having a full-court-presser game, it’s having in the paint game, it’s so so much more than 4 or 3-pt shots. FR, CC has been stuck-up even in the NCAA. Until Clarke makes these changes to her game she will never win a ring, and she will remain a MEDIOCRE with an awesome 4 or 3-pt shot… PERIODt Very recently, it seems that she’s starting to come off her high horse, and conduct herself like a teamplayer, and good for her, and more importantly, GOOD FOR FEVER, it’s showing, they are starting to win. No one has any animosity towards Clarke for any reason; if we can’t call a thing a thing then wth is this?; pee-wee league?!, where “folks” give out “participation” trophies? Clarke’s ok, but she can stand to work on her game a lot. That’s a fact and calling out the truth is not hate, it just #^$&@‘in is. Far too often “folks” help, support, prop up and fail up mediocrity (and we know why), and if that’s your thing, fine, but what you’re not gonna do is force everyone else to buy into the BS; or try to guilt or pressure others to “go along to get along.” #^$&@ THAT!!!

She’s taking the wrong tactic, suggesting that Clark is getting preferential treatment or whatever. It was a hard foul and was correctly called a Flagrant 1. Look at the rule book. She should just say, look, if you are going to come into the paint expecting to do a layup, that ain’t happening. Nobody is trying to hurt anybody but sometimes it inadvertently goes over the line and I paid for it. Free throws plus possession for the Fever. But it’s my job as a forward to protect the paint and I’m going to keep doing that. Case closed. Instead by suggesting ref partiality or whatever, she comes across as a whiner, just feeding into the jealousy narrative.

Angel don’t hang your head! Y’all just need to pick up your pace. The goal is to play at a faster pace than your opponent. Also make sure every shot is a quality shot. Nothing rushed. Next, no stagnant possessions! That ball should pop from player to player! Move that ball so swiftly that no defense can setup or adjust to it! That will keep your opponent on their toes so much. That will have them tired most of the game. You have a gaping hole in your defense in the paint. That needs to be corrected immediately! Numerous plays I saw players able to simply cut to the baseline and right through the backdoor. Close that backdoor in your defensive setups! Lastly, stop arguing the refs about calls! Move on and get your payback on the scoreboard! Refs will be refs! Not every call will go your way. So just keep playing your game and use those ref non-calls as ammunition.

@@zorianburley1926 agreed - but Angel also has to start taking accountability or she won't grow and get better. After the Iowa loss she played victim vs. accepting defeat - this loss was similar - she's blaming the refs in a game where foul calls were actually pretty close in number. Someone among the vets needs to tell her she has to take personal accountability; I don't feel she has good guidance around her as she makes a lot of poor decisions with social as well that brings attention to herself. Really she loves attention is what it is, but when things don't go well she doesn't take criticism at all or react to adversity in a positive manner. But she is 22 so she has lots of time to learn IF IF IF she choses that path. So far she's going the opposite direction of that path as she is insisting on doubling down about this "villain" role, which is just an excuse she's telling herself to justify poor choices. Her jumping up and down and cheering her player cheap shotting CC wasn't a poor choice .. no instead it's the media making her the bad guy????
