green has to improve his delivery times and location the one armstrong got hurt on was late and two of the three incompletions to the 6’7” receiver was 2 steps late when he was open getting there and the INT on the sideline was ball placement

Wideouts, are weird. We acted very deep preseason. Same for TE. They seem non existent, maybe BP is just taking his time.

Are we just playing to the opps level? Yea we got out veteran’d by OSU in the end, but the last two seem to make that case.

Accuracy has been bad, no doubt. But serious question: how many times in the Auburn game was a receiver open and missed on a throw? Maybe twice? Outside of Sategna and Armstrong, Arkansas doesn’t have guys getting open much at all

Most of the incompletions were hospital balls from qb. WRs were hit most of time upon delivery. Really surprised WRs were healthy enough at end of game. A++ to the defense. 1 or 2 plays gave 14 pts,lockdown rest of way

I just compare Taylen Green to Jalen Hurts and Ja'Quinden Jackson is his Saquon Barkley. Jalen Hurts is not the most accurate QB in the league. He struggles with his passing and a lot of times bails himself and the OL out with his legs. Taylen Green is the same way. Armstrong is Taylen's AJ Smith while Sategna is the DeVonta Smith of the WR crop. I agree with fans who are concerned for the lack of production from the TE position, especially Luke Hasz. The NFL over the past 15 years has produced some of the greatest TEs ever and some of the highest production from that position. Is Luke Hasz not able to get open? Is he just NOT THAT GOOD? Bobby Petrino SHOULD be able to design SOMETHING for Hasz. Petrino needs to be like Andy Reid. That is who I have always compared Petrino to in regards to being innovative offensively.

Taylen was far from great, particularly through the air, but I feel like we are definitely watching different things here. He gives the offense a chance to make big plays consistently, and I think the one series with Malachi shows a little bit of how it’s not all on Taylen
@truthsoldier5757Ай бұрын
@InsideArkansas He definitely brings big play potential to the offense. It's not fair to judge Singleton off of one series. Gotta give the kid a chance to kill some of that adrenaline he had. He did find an open receiver, just couldn't make the throw.

This team is a C right now. I don't expect it to be much better. Green keeps us on life support when he is able to take off a run, but that is not how to run an offense. Both offensive and defensive lines need much work. We keep saying how it was a great win, but then we say how awful Auburn is. There is nothing I have seen at this point to make me think we will get any better.
